I'm so jealous of you, I still haven't bought it.  Heard the game's amazing, the graphics look incredible!

It is amazing. My expectations for the game were high. When I first started playing it, it felt different from the others, and admittedly I was starting to think it was falling short of what I thought it would be. It's just one of those games that the more you play, the better it gets. You really need to get to the second island; that's where all the real action starts to happen. The gun battles are amazing. To think the cover system and blind fire combat was all that GEARS had going for it. This game has an even better combat system than that, but it's not even the main aspect of the game. It's just in there if you want to use it. Getting boxed in by the cops then getting out and running to the other side of your car for cover, then unloading on them just feels class. Especially doing it online with a mate. Watching it happen reminds me of the shootout in Heat. I'm supposed to be getting work done, but instead GTA4 has kept me from doing anything in the last few days.

Was looking through the Virtual Console on Wii the other night and bought an absolute classic from way back when - World Games from the Commodore 64!

Surprisingly, it still plays well and with 4 people round, its still quality. Cliff diving and barrell jumpiing being highlights, memories..... :D

nevermind if no one has played it, Crysis that is, loaded it up today for a blast and it looks great, tell you what you need some machine to run it on high end settings, did try it for a while and must say the graphics where stunning but on my machine was lagging like hell.

if you havnt played it but you have played HL2 then its very similar so far.

Crysis is renowned for needing a HIGH SPEC pc, you need a NASA pc to get it running smooth.

Neil: Assassins Creed does look awesome but it's boring and repetitive, also Libery City has far more detail and GTA is a bigger game in general   :;):

I disagree. At certain times of the day when it rains in the middle of Times Square or there abouts, it's difficult to think of a better looking game than GTA 4. It's got some of the best lighting and atmospherics I've ever seen in a game, and taking a boat out onto the water at night just looks absolutely stunning for a game with so much on screen at once. The water effects surprised me. They're class looking.

ffs paul stop having an issue with everything I say, red & daxy arent gonna love you anymore as a result. AC mechanics are so smooth in comparison, GTA 4 gameplay and nuances are superb-I've even watched the telly in the room for an hour- but the graphics and mechanics are terrible. Also the world of GTA 4 is not any bigger than all the real 1191AD cities of Assassins Creed.

The graphics in GTA 4 are terrible? Spec Savers for you! Book an appointment ASAP!  GTA 4's graphics are stunning IMO. I don't have a f'cking clue what people are looking at in GTA4 and think that it looks terrible, because overall I'd go as far as saying that it's one of the best looking games ever made.

I wasnt having a go fella, just pointing out, Assassins Creed just doesnt have as much detail as GTA, the cars, the buildings (clubs, bowling, shops, etc).

But if it's upsetting you then I'll agreed for arguements sake  :D

The graphics of GTA IV are great. But the lighting/shadows are a fairly big gripe for me.

Btw neil...when did you move to Runcorn  ???
