If so what are your thoughts?

The reviews say their isn't enough differences between the first one and it's basically just an expansion pack ???

My impression of that game are basically WTF?! Vegas 2? What, did they go back again and hijack Vegas all over again for the craic? Seriously, this game just reeked of "cash in" from day one. Let's just milk that successful first effort with the same name only slap a big 2 on the end of it. Lazy stuff from Ubi.

From what I've seen and heard, it's basically just an expansion. Why they went for the same premise, I do not know.

Yeah thats what I've heard and what most of the reviews say, I'm sure it's a good game but not much of an improvement over the first one

Why don't you lot just try the thing out yourself instead of going by what every other sheep suggests to do/not to do...

On a side note, P.E.S 2008 on the Wii is great! The control scheme is fairly 'radical' to say the least - and requires quite a bit of effort to nail down. However, i have never played a footy game with so much direct control over the entire outfield 11 as in this one. And it knocks the next-gen versions into a cocked hat. Highly recommended.   :D

I didn't say I wasn't going to try it, all I asked was what people's thoughts were?

PES on the Wii doesn't looks a great idea, looks tricky to get use to but great  :)

P.E.S is fun; which kind of makes it 'better' as a game - the control scheme is....deep! very deep. The more i put into it the more iam enjoying the experience.

Here's a brief example:

Reina releases the ball...a quick throwout to Aurelio on the flank. (Babel, you can set off on a run) and then passes inside to Alonso, who sidesteps his opponent with ease and tees up Gerrard for a raking 35 yard ball (remember the position you set Babel to track....) out towards him. The Dutchman collects the feed and cuts inside...dribbles for a few yards and decides to unleash a thunderbolt. Ok, the oppo goalie parries it - straight into the path of the oncoming Torres, who controls with one touch - swerves inside his marker and 'places' a low strike into the bottom right corner of the net. Mucho Joy!!

Now this is one brief 'noissette' of a taster - the move described above is completely executed by YOUR every move - Not the AI's.

You do it...all!

The game has obvious limitations graphically and in terms of features compared to its next/current-gen contempories. But the core gameplay is revolutionary! So much direct control.

Yep it takes a while to understand..possibly a great while to master. But every other footy title you have played (and got frustrated by...) regards computer assisted performance. Is largely defunct because of this. It aint perfect....but it IS capable of carrying out most of your tactical/strategical wishes on the pitch. With a large dollop of satisfaction previously out of bounds until now.

Big thumbs up from me.

As for RSV2......its: OK/Quite good.  :)

Aye, Live is being a bit of a b'stard at the moment. I've been trying to DL the new Euro 08 demo and it wasn't there. When it did show, the download was slow. I'm still stuck on 30%. I hear there's a update coming soon, though.

Live has been a right state since the last update. I don't even know why they updated it for. It's a shambles at the minute. MS are having a laugh with charging people for the service, then charging them to download pictures and themes. I mean, for :censored: sake. They restrict you uploading and downloading what you like from a PC using their own f'cking operating system. At least the PS3 has that going for it. You can connect pretty much whatever you want to it and it lets you do whatever you like. MS need to sort it out. Oh, and those COD4 maps should be free. Another slap in the face for people that pay, yet on a PC you can mod the game to the tits and at no cost.

OXM are still saying today/tomorrow. Despite some April Fool shenanigans earlier in the week.
