The forum is dead cos we have very little to play for this season, we have no ownership issues to discuss and we don't have any issues with the manager.

I think we're all just sorta looking forward to the summer now.

having said that, the forum could be changed around a bit. Id personally prefer a seperate section for discussing players and the main section should be more focused on the manager, tactics + formations, league position, transfer windows, best starting 11 etc.

the main section is often too overwhelming to go through if you've been away for a few days.

I'm reluctantly looking forward to the summer....s'posed to be going to Cyprus on holliers, until the missus read somewhere that that nutjob in Libya is promising to attack Cyprus if the Brits bomb his country....

Looking around a bit, there could be a few places where we can tidy the forum up.

For example - the player's lounge section. Its only had 4 topics posted in the whole of 2011, and there's still a topic from 2008 (last post was in 2008!) on the first page!! - It's obvious that section is just a graveyard.

IMO it's not needed and should be delated. And relevent LFC threads can move into general discussion, or perhaps if we want to keep it, rename it to something like "former reds" so there is a clearer notion of what it's for.

I mean: what's happening at the moment?

- top 4: nope

- european football: nope (but when we were the performances were absolutely dire)

- Any exciting matches to come: nope. (played bitters, utd and chelsea twice already.)

- any ownership issues: nope

- any managerial issues: nope (only news of contract for kenny pending)

So there's not exactly a lot of discussion points around at the moment.

I do agree the forum is slower than it used to be - but there's also a lot less arguments, name calling, insults etc.

And yes that might have been all part of the fun, but there comes a point when people just move on anyway.

Like a few have already said, the old guard just seem to be busier nowadays. Got nowt to do with the forum itself, just lack of time to really post a thought provoking topic and contribute throughout.

Thoughout the Rafa and Roy periods, the fan base was always divided. King Kenny has brought us all togther. This is a good thing. An amazingly good thing. But it has also had a knock-on effect on the discussions on the forum, as there is less to discuss / argue / disagree with.

I don't think we need to change anything on the forum at the moment. The structure is fine, the individual player threads is not a problem for me.

I think we're at the start of a a very exciting transition for the club - but that only begins in the summer, the first summer transfer window under the new owners and a permanent manager that we can all get behind. Right now we're in a state of flux, no top 4, no european football and no "big" games between now and August. It's no suprise to me that this forum is quiet, but I have faith that it will pick up again....
