Theres are few things that are killing this place that have already been said

I reckon we bring back the banned people

The season's pretty much dead yes - but I'm still well excited about what we can see from kenny and the lads before the seasons out so I wouldnt like to think our season is completely over is terms of what we can see footballing wise

I agree with DD, I rarely post in the Official player threads because everything just gets merged together, like we could have a whole separate thread for Reina leaving speculation and Gerrard's injury. I like the idea DD, it's got my backing anyway :D
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

He is.

Could any of the mods give us their opinion on a mass unban?

How will unbanning people get them back? I knew if I were banned, first I'd probably join a different forum, second I wouldn't check this one anymore, there would be no point as I couldn't stick my opinion in when I wanted to.  How would they know the are unbanned?  And would they even care? Have they moved on already?

Not saying it's not worth a try...

Tho if we do unban people and some come back, we should definitely watch for who completely disappears :D

A MASS unban ? . Christ sake, sounds as though an entire tribe has been sent into exile.

Whenever the inevitable recurring "the forums going down the pan" thread rears it's head there is always the cry "bring back the banned members", but lets face it there are only 4 (maybe 5) banned members who were ever of any significance to the forum.

Of those, one asked for his account to be permanently deleted, two are apparently no longer a'rsed about rejoining the forum and one or two have slipped back into the forum with new ID's.

The forums membership is never static, people come and people go for a myriad of reasons and whilst we may miss the contribution of some members what really defines the forum at any given time is the input of the currently active membership.

Maybe Rawk should buyout newkit like WWE and WCW, and there can be a brand merger

For me it's a mixture.

Cool hand luke hit it on the head though when he said

The season is dead therefore the forum is also dead. Wait until the summer window opens.

I mean: what's happening at the moment?

- top 4: nope

- european football: nope (but when we were the performances were absolutely dire)

- Any exciting matches to come: nope. (played bitters, utd and chelsea twice already.)

- any ownership issues: nope

- any managerial issues: nope (only news of contract for kenny pending)

So there's not exactly a lot of discussion points around at the moment.

I do agree the forum is slower than it used to be - but there's also a lot less arguments, name calling, insults etc.

And yes that might have been all part of the fun, but there comes a point when people just move on anyway.

Like a few have already said, the old guard just seem to be busier nowadays. Got nowt to do with the forum itself, just lack of time to really post a thought provoking topic and contribute throughout.

Thoughout the Rafa and Roy periods, the fan base was always divided. King Kenny has brought us all togther. This is a good thing. An amazingly good thing. But it has also had a knock-on effect on the discussions on the forum, as there is less to discuss / argue / disagree with.

I don't think we need to change anything on the forum at the moment. The structure is fine, the individual player threads is not a problem for me.

I think we're at the start of a a very exciting transition for the club - but that only begins in the summer, the first summer transfer window under the new owners and a permanent manager that we can all get behind.  Right now we're in a state of flux, no top 4, no european football and no "big" games between now and August. It's no suprise to me that this forum is quiet, but I have faith that it will pick up again....
