in The  lion the witch and the wardrobe the lampost was used to show you the way back home to the real world (in lost it could be the lampost is also showing you the way back to the real world, the island).

thats just one thing usedby the Lost makers to try to make us think.

I still feel that in the end we will find out that the plane crash lot are the ones that set the island up and are The Others. The numbers that needed to be put into the computer were to keep the island from moving, they needed to think of a set of numbers that they will not forget.  Hurley has a set in mind , his loto numbers, and thats how they ened up being used, Hurley will also turn out to be the one doing all the booking and thats why his numbers turn up a lot.

Fascinating theory, that, Lakes.  It's starting to look like it might play out along those lines, given that they're all back in the 1970s now.  I don't have a clue what the bigger picture is at this stage but I'm loving the ride.  Fantastic show! :nod

As much as I like thinking I never built a decent theory and an interesting one like lakes10. I'm lost.

For me the show keeps answering 5 questions and rising 15 more every step. There's still a explanation needed about how that big statue appeared (they saw it complete in one of the jumps) and who put it there.

I had an idea that it was going to be of Lock but after the flash when he was in the well we see this, it tends to change my mind if its in the same place.

i doubt its the eyeliner guy brother, he took orders from Ben. I dont think Jacob takes orders from anyone, i bet it turns out to be Locke.

Anyone know what happened to Rose and Bernard?

well what did we get from this week.
well i think we just found out that the statue is some sort of fertility thing and once it got smashed no one can have babies on the island. saying that we did not see it in the 1974 flash.

Tawaret
'The Great One'
Appearance:

Head of a hippopotamus with the arms and legs of a lion, the back and tail of a crocodile, and the breasts and stomach of a pregnant woman.

Since I watch the show in english, I don't get about the 20% of it without transcription or subtitles, and that sometimes is much in a show like this one or Galactica.

So correct me if I'm wrong. And answer me some questions please.

THe impertinent chinese guy said "way before" when he saw the statue. That's the same statue that we saw before, the one who had only 3 toes (not human?) and had only one foot remaining, as ruins.  So I think that statue had been broken for maybe hundreds or thousands of years. I'm not sure to relate it to the fertility problem.

Also, when you saw the statue from behind, what did you see? it reminded like one of those ancient egypt pictures

With a rope in the hand.

Also, what happened when seasons before the count down went off? I guess they traveled in time? but to when?

I'm lost.

we dont know when the statue was broken, it might have been "in the war".
We still are not 100% that it is the same statue but i am sure we will find out.

I wouldnt bet on it brother, so many things have been left unanswered and according to the writers will probably remain so  :(

:D Good spot there Andy.
Looking back at our early thoughts and theories makes ya cringe tho. The best one being- the dog was controlling the smoke monster hahahahaha
Has any other program ever made people think like this?
Id love to see it if there was.
Never did know why they took Walt either, he had special abilities ...but for what? ???

Yeah just watched the latest episode.. Was quite interesting with james cover as le fleaur lool... Anyhow i think the statue theory could be true about pregnant women..
Pregnant women didnt give birth there but one thing that ponders in my mind is that wasnt Aaron born on the island when the statue was already broken??
Maybe the another meaning to the statue could be locke thousands of years ago dressed like a drag!
