in The lion the witch and the wardrobe the lampost was used to show you the way back home to the real world (in lost it could be the lampost is also showing you the way back to the real world, the island).
thats just one thing usedby the Lost makers to try to make us think.
I still feel that in the end we will find out that the plane crash lot are the ones that set the island up and are The Others. The numbers that needed to be put into the computer were to keep the island from moving, they needed to think of a set of numbers that they will not forget. Hurley has a set in mind , his loto numbers, and thats how they ened up being used, Hurley will also turn out to be the one doing all the booking and thats why his numbers turn up a lot.
Fascinating theory, that, Lakes. It's starting to look like it might play out along those lines, given that they're all back in the 1970s now. I don't have a clue what the bigger picture is at this stage but I'm loving the ride. Fantastic show!
As much as I like thinking I never built a decent theory and an interesting one like lakes10. I'm lost.
For me the show keeps answering 5 questions and rising 15 more every step. There's still a explanation needed about how that big statue appeared (they saw it complete in one of the jumps) and who put it there.
