Last nights shocking performance against St Gallen cements popular opinion that Rafa will never win the Premier League.

First and foremost he has gone back to his old rotational ways, even worse instead of sticking at 3 changes during the match, he’s now making 8 or 9.

He left the worlds best striker Torres and Alonso, Reina, Arbeloa and Agger out of the squad completely, Kuyt, Benyanoon and new £17million signing Johnson on the bench and took off talismen Carragher and Gerrard at half time.

He had the players at his disposal to dispatch opposition of this quality with ease but again chose to throw in the rookies in the vain hope they could muster a win.

Once again Lucas was awful, so it’s looking like a season of misplaced passes and clumsy fouls from him, N’Gog couldn’t trap a bag of cement or pass to a red shirt and El Zhar was like Tevez without the class, Cavalieri was so hesitant he looked like an epileptic trying the okey cokey and Spearing looked like a poor mans Paul Scholes.

St Gallen were there for the taking and once again Liverpool came away, just, with a scratchy 0-0, so it’s all to play for in the second leg.

Has Rafa learnt from past mistakes in taking on so called lesser clubs? Not on last nights showing…

Can't believe we threw away two perfectly good points to that shower on the first day of the new season. Not good enough, Rafa! :angry:
