Thanks Ace.  This is our thought on how to get through it.  Stick together and fight (not each other).  There is too much in this world to live and experience and last night we made a list of things we will do when we get through.  Anfield was #1, even though she had a couple that she'd rank above it, she said that Anfield is first just so she could see my face when we get there.

Sorry for your bad news mate, for you and your missus, how unlucky can you get?

The good news is that so many advances have been made regarding Cancer that means you see more and more full recoveries being made. For example, my sister in laws mum was diagnosed with leukaemia and she made a full recovering as did my missus' uncle who was also diagnosed with the same thing.

It may not be much consolation, but it shows progress is being made.

Stay strong for each other and look forward toward to that trip to Anfield mate.

Blimey, really sorry to hear the news TGY,  keep strong for each other. As Kharhaz mentioned,  a lot of advances have been made into the way Cancer (all types) are treated. I hope and pray for you and your wife to make a full recovery.

Hoping you all are well and never have to go through this sh.it.

Ah man, that's horrible news, it's hard enough to deal with one case, let alone two. You and your wife are in my thoughts. I hope that you're both able to fight this and pull through and I hope you both make it to Anfield someday. Keep strong, Buddy.

I'm 40, And I've never been a smoker.  Unfortunately a big part of American sports culture involves "dipping".  Using smokeless tobacco.  Dunno if it's even done on the other side of the pond.  It's a moist, fresh tobacco ground very fine (like to the consistency of coffee grinds) and you put it inbetween your lip and gums.  I started using it when I was 17.

I've had regular checkups and such all my life and though no ill affects had been found I was always encouraged by my doctors to quit, I never did.  My consultation is tomorrow morning and I'm a nervous wreck.
