im sorry, but apocalypse now is just a mess of a film. would be good if it wasnt for brando being an absolute clueless idiot... and ragin bull, i'll sum up the film.

bloke swears,. bloke boxes,. bloke hits wife. bloke swears, bloke boxes more, bloke swears, bloke eats, bloke gets fat. bloke swears.

there is no one likeable in that film, the black and white is not needed (unless a film like rumblefish where its perfect) and the boxing? it isnt as good as everyone says. so de niro got fat fopr the role... so what!

Both films are "flawed" but while you're moaning about Brando , I'm applauding Hopper.

Overweight De Niro, who cares ? I admired Joe Pesci .
