have none of you neanderthals ever heard of a teapot?

here's how its done, ok?

1. boil the kettle
2. while the kettle is boiling put a little milk and sugar in the bottom of the tea cup (or preferably pint mug)
3. when the kettle has boiled swill some hot water around the inside of the pot.
4. empty the water and put in pure leaf assam tea or yorkshire tea bags.
5. add boiling water and leave to stand for AT LEAST 5 minutes.
6. pour brewed tea over top of milk and sugar and enjoy the fecker with biscuits.
7. in winter feel free to add a wee dram of whiskey - its damn fine.

i'm never intentionally dogmatic about anything, but this is the ONLY acceptable way to make tea.

When I can be bothered to use my teapot, I do follow the first couple (apart from sugar), but add the teabags to the teapot and let it brew for a few mins.....but most times cant be arsed...for a number of reasons...firstky I drink loads of tea, so it wold just add unnecassry time, but also using the teapot, increases the amount to be washed  :idea

karim, mate, you haven't got a clue :D
you never wash a teapot, its like a wok - the deposits from the previous usage add to the flavour of the next one.

If the kettle still has water in it from the last time it was used,do you reboil it or does it have to be fresh?
