Well the like the topic title sayis , i need help deciding on what console to buy . I'm currently leaning towards the ps3 , but i've not made up my mind yet . Any help is appreciated guys as we have quite a fair bit of gamers on here with different consoles so i'm sure we'll have loads of different opinions .

I have 2 out 3 (Wii and Xbox 360) but I have also sold countless PS3s when I used to work at a gamestore.  Not like I get commission though, ripoffs.

Anyways, the wii can be very fun.  But i rarely use it.  Super Smash Bros online is decent, wii sports gets boring (and your muscles WILL feel it, but only to tear them.)  The first month or 2 is a blast, but it will all quickly fade away.  However, with big parties of people it can have its uses. 

Now down to the big boys, the PS3 has inferior game selection and a worse online service to the Xbox 360.  (I think PS3 is getting an online revamp, and from what I saw it looked pretty good.  Should look into it).  It's only big plus is the bluray, but the prices on a bluray player is dropping big time now anyways, but the media is still a ripoff ($25+ for a dvd, madness).

My favorite is the xbox, halo 3, CoD5, Gears of War 2, great xbox live service for all of these.  They also have the xbox live marketplace, while although most things are ripoffs they do have some pluses like downloading megaman 9 and ninja gaiden black.  And then theres Guitar Hero songs, RB songs, etc. if you like those games.

Overall, I lean towards xbox 360.  But I'd pick that or the PS3. Defiantly look into the new PS3 online thing, I was only browsing but I swear I saw something on that.

thanks alot mate , so i guess the wii is out than . That leaves xbox 360 and ps3 . I've heard that there will be a new xbox coming out soon ? as for the online part of the ps3 , its just the network which is getting a better right , what i mean is will only the newer editions of the console enjoy the benefits of the new network?

Well, thats just going off my personal experience with the wii!  Don't rule anything out yet, unless christmas is the deadline  .

Can't answer the other questions right now, 3am and going off no sleep, bed time for me.  Although off the top of my head I dont think there is a new xbox coming out, but hey, I dont know everything!

get the 360 you wont regret it no way the online play blows the ps3 to bits
if you get a ps3 you will deffo regrett not gettin the 360!

thanks mate , but i' not from england . Still undecided yet , i've heard that there might be a new xbox coming out in 2010 , whereas the ps3 will be supported for 10 years . Xbox only for 5 , and it was released in 2005

But really PS3 beats -box hands down.

New x-bow has new chip in it now but you won't get one out side of USA till june time.
