Is Ong Bak the same as it?  I haven't got a clue to be honest.

No Ong Bak is a pretty full on Thai martial arts movie . Pretty good but nowwhere near the class of Old Boy which is NOT a martial arts film . Despite the violence it's very much a mystery .

Synopsis
Guy is kidnapped and is kept in a small flat for 15 years .Never sees anybody but does have a TV . Eventually gets out but still doesn't know why he was incarcerated . Now he sets out to find the answer.

Ah yeah, I've heard of that Ong Bak, read a review at the time for it in Total Film or Hotdog.  In my innocence I thought one was the Korean translation for the other or something.  Not clued up on Far Eastern cinema.  Got no decent DVDs in at the moment so I'm thinking of giving it a try.

Yeah I'm on 44.3%.  It'll be finished by about nine bells.  Everyone should have gone out on the pop by then in my house so I can watch it in peace.

I'm tempted to stick the dvd on again .It really is a TOP film . It will probably be subtitled so keep your specs handy or stay sober  :D

While your in an asian mood look out for " Itchi the Killer "  No, it's not connected to the Simpsons "Itchy and Scratchy " but it could have been .   :D

Just thought id get in on this Japanese films.........they are quality

Any Stephen Chow one is good to watch...especially Shaolin Soccer, Kung Fu Hustle - can't wait for the 2nd one

Also "Tom Yun Goon" is good as well.......its like Ong Bak a few people say its Ong Bak 2 but its not its actually an older film than Ong Bak but is well worth watching

Got them both Luvliverpool . I think Ong Bak is the better of the two . far superior production values .

Stephen Chow is a chinese comedy god , love his stuff . Check out "Royal Tramp" if you can find it . He does his own brand of made up martial arts , his favourite move being " The Breast Grabbing Stance"

Oh man.. Ong Bak..

My best memory of that movie is when he jumps up during a fight scene and smashes the helmet of this bad guy riding on a motor-bike with his knee. (or was it elbow?)  :D
