I think John's point is not against political debate per se, but the change of focus from this being a football forum to being a current affairs forum.

I agree with John that a lot of people now seem to put more effort into the current affairs threads than the football threads.

Could be that many of us have gone around and around the same issues in the footy section so many times that it seems like groundhog day in there .There come a time when you can only take so much of "sack this player " , "who's should we sign" and "Harry Kewell "

Gen chat however ,is always lively ,contentous and often very funny . Let's not forget that despite the differences of opinion and bullsh'it that is swapped in here ,we are all LFC supports and enjoy each others company . (well , most of the time     ).
