my mate got to see the media set up at some of the grounds the otherday, he said they are outstanding, he was also taken to the England camp and said it out of this world, he was not sure we could do the same over here if we got the world cup.

My prediction will be either Spain or England to win it. I like Germany's squad and I wouldn't be surprised if they get to the final. Italy are just a bunch of divers and cheaters I hope they get out from the group stages (sorry dundalk :D)

well i hope u aint supporting england this year with capello being our manager you hypocrit?

the guy's a lunatic:

Diego Maradona added insult to injury when the Argentina manager ran over a journalist and then stopped to call him an “***hole” on route to his team’s World Cup squad announcement meeting.

Driving a Mini to a news conference, the 1986 World Cup winner was surrounded by newsmen but one was hit and he fell to the ground.

According to witnesses, Maradona’s car then rolled over the lower part of his leg.

“What an ***hole you are,” Maradona shouted from the car. “How can you put your leg there where it can get run over, man?”

Paramedics ran to the scene to attend to the cameraman who was taken away for further treatment.

The 49-year-old coach then delivered the names of the 23-man squad for the World Cup finals to the media.

Maradona has had a fractious relationship with the press in the past, once firing shots from an air-rifle to clear members of the media from outside his home.

The Argentina coach's World Cup preparation was earlier disrupted in March when he needed minor facial surgery after being bitten by his dog.

..
Maradona: Ran over cameraman
.Argentina coach Diego Maradona insulted a cameraman after accidentally running over his leg ahead of naming his final World Cup squad.

The journalist was hit by Maradona's car as he drove his Mini into the Argentine Football Association (AFA) training complex in Buenos Aires on Wednesday.

The 1986 World Cup winner then shouted abuse at the cameraman for getting in the way of his car.

"What an a**hole you are," Maradona shouted from the car after braking, "How can you put your foot under the wheel, man?"

Paramedics attended to the cameraman who was taken away for further treatment.

Media at the gates of the conference were seeking comments from the Argentina boss on his selection of players in the 23-man line-up for the World Cup in South Africa this summer, which he handed to the AFA.

Apology
Maradona has since issued an apology to the victim, saying he gave a statement to the local prosecutor.

"I was driving down the street," he said. "I'm sorry it happened. I gave a statement to the prosecutor and I hope everything comes out OK."

Argentina will take on Nigeria, South Korea and Greece in Group A of the tournament.

I cant believe hes left Cambiasso an Zanetti out of the squad,

That Argie team is full of magic ,but the magician is off his head, such a shame , i still think there one of the best teams in the tourament though and could go all the way, if they igore what Diego tells them , Sort themselves out on the pitch .

My outside bet is Chile , watched them play in the South Americas cup and they have some cracking little players in there , skillful , get stuck in and full of heart , one to watch in that team for me is Mathias Fernades. crackin little player
HE WHO BETRAYS WILL ALWAYS WALK ALONE

Watched the argies last night and they looked great although it was only Canada.
Messi wasnt included either.
The attacking options they have got are amazing.
Tevez, Messi, Aguero Higuain, Milito and Di Maria. Maxi always seems to do well for them as well and scored 2 decent goals.
Really looking forward to seeing them in the tournament and there group isnt that difficult so they should go far.
Leaving out Zanetti and Cambiasso was crazy though, typical Maradona i suppose.

Spain are a class team, they usually choke but winning the Euros takes that pressure off them. No European team is close to that level.

Argentina should be up there with Spain but my favourite ever player is a lunatic and shouldn't be their manager. I don't know if a team with a lunatic manager has ever won it.

Germany and Italy aren't great but the Germans just always make the semis no matter how bad and the Italians should never be ruled out (4 world cups).

England have an okay team (Ashley Cole,Ferdinand,Rooney are all world class) but don't have enough to challenge. They should make the quarters.

Brazil - I don't know much about this squad

Netherland - bags of talent but the spirit of a Frenchman at the sight of a german.

France - see above.
