Might as well just give it to RvP now apparently

Bangor City player nominated for Uefa's best player in Europe award

Martyn Ziegler

Monday 16 July 2012

Les Davies, a 27-year-old winger who is a cult hero for his club Bangor City, has made it on to the 32-man list of players nominated for Uefa's best player in Europe award.

Davies is rubbing shoulders with the likes of Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta and Cristiano Ronaldo on the list with the award ceremony to take place on August 30 in Monaco.

The long-list was drawn up by one selected journalist from each Uefa member country voting for their five best players, and even a single nomination - believed to be from the Welsh journalist who voted - was enough to earn Davies a place on the long-list.

The 32-player long list is: Aguero (Man City), Xabi Alonso (Real Madrid), Balotelli (Man City), Blaszczykowski (Borussia Dortmund), Buffon (Juventus), Casillas (Real Madrid), Cech (Chelsea), Coentrao (Real Madrid), Davies (Bangor),  Drogba (Shanghai Shenhua), Fabregas (Barcelona), Falcao (Atletico Madrid), Hart (Man City), Ibrahimovic (AC Milan), Iniesta (Barcelona), Kagawa (Man Utd), Kompany (Man City), Lampard (Chelsea), Messi (Barcelona), Modric (Tottenham), Ozil (Real Madrid), Pepe (Real ), Pirlo (Juventus), Ramos (Real Madrid), Raul (Al-Sadd Sports Club), Ronaldo (Real Madrid), Rooney (Man Utd), Silva (Man City), Torres (Chelsea), Y Toure (Man City). van Persie (Arsenal), Xavi (Barcelona).

Its Messi by a mile then should be Ronaldo.

The amount of goals the two of them scored last season was insane.

Van Persie had a great season but nothing like those two.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Iniesta up there.

And you are right RvP is nowhere near the top 3.

So it's no longer RvP ?

You do realise Messi scores over 70 goals last season - nearly double what RvP and won three trophies

Ronaldo nearly 60 odd goals and the league

RvP - 30 goals and no trophies

I know everyone's entitled their own opinion mate but Messi scored goals like he was playing Sunday footy.
And in big games, he is a freak.

How many hat tricks did he score this season ?

Ive always said Iniesta Was the best in the world check back if you like i only said RVP to get a reaction of you which worked.

Barcelonas Side                                   Arsenals Side

Valdes                                                     Sceznsy
Dani Alves                                               Sagna??
Puyol                                                       Koscielny
Pique                                                       Vermalean
Abidal                                                      Andre Santos
Xavi                                                         Song
Iniesta                                                     Arteta
Sergio Busquets                                      Rosicky
Messi                                                       Walcott
Fabregas                                                 RVP
Alexis Sanchez                                        Gervinho

Thats the reason why Barcelona won 3 trophies and arsenal won 0 as Arsenal are a far weaker side. put RVP in barcelonas side and he will win 3 trophies and score alot more goals. Look at the diffrence between Messi and Ronaldos Record when Ronaldo was at United.

The teams you play in La liga Comapred to the premier League.

Even in the Barce team RvP wouldn't get near Messi's record. Over 70 goals in a season FFS !! That is just truely amazing.

Messi is the worlds best player and has backed it up on a weekly basis and has the goals and medals to prove it.

There is no level on which RvP can be considered better.

He is miles behind the top 3 or 4 . Gerrard is better than RvP
