my very small local team (East Thurrock) play at home to Macclesfield Town tomorrow. they would have loved to have got Southend but it did not work out.I hope they get the win so they can carry on their dream of getting a big club in the next round.......it would be very cool if Liverpool had to come down here.....not sure what they would make of the club....even more so if the ban on drinking in the club house a still stands lol.

I know many of the players and how they would love to get a trip to Liverpool or west ham so i wis that their dreams come true.

on a side note my wifes friend lives next to the club and has been told she will not be able to get out of her house for 4 hours as itv might block her road with a van lol.

Wow, I used to play cup finals on pitches like that lakes.

Years ago, I worked in Thurrock for about a month putting central heating into a little country school out there. It's very 'fieldy' isn't it, do you know the school lakes, its on its own in the middle of nowhere?

Yep, that'll be mine.  :D

Anyway, I asked whether they were still on the wall, not whether water had leaked out of them.  :D

it was a good game in the first half, we was all over them and should have been 3-0 up, their first goal should never have been as it was a very clear handball just before the shot, even their fans said so lol.

but the day did have a very funny end, i ended up  going to the game with our friends dad. on the way out a guy said hi to me.  my friends dad said " hi mate how you doing, not seen you for a long time are you well" the guy just looked at him and said "i am ok"

as we walked off my friends dad said to me " god i dont know his namebut i new the face so i just had to say hi in case it looked like i was rude" i looked at my friends dad (who is 65) and said " that was Julian Dicks" pmsl
he turned very red lol, he has been a west ham fan all his like so no wonder he knew the face lol.

it was a great day, all mixed fans, shame the result did not go our way.
