If Mancini cannot deliver the title to Inter Milan now he has to be sacked. His still lucky to be in a job and he has to win it next season.

Oh, absolutely. This is a golden chance for Inter. They should definitely be able to overcome their recent futility with Juve relegated and Milan at -15 points to start the season.

Roma will give them a run also, and Milan may still have a chance if the play out of their skins the whole season (they won't have to worry about European football remember).

We should go in for Trezuguet and luca toni, they will be available for cheap now, probably wont happen but it would be nice.

and luca toni is in his prime, the top goalscorer in italy for who knows how many years, had a great world cup. you think they will sell him for 3 or 4 million?

To be honest I think Luca Toni is probably a more realistic option than the Juve players and wouldn't completely break the bank. Fiorentina aren't as rich as the other clubs hit by the scandal and the relegation will hurt them financially. I'd say they are more likely to have to offload players than say Juve, and may have to do so at more reasonable prices.

Toni is almost 30 and has only been Italy's top goalscorer for one season and an Italian International for about a year. A very late bloomer after years of mediocrity. I don't think the richest European teams will come calling for him (the Madrids, the Manures, the Chelseas), which would leave either someone like Inter or another midtable Italian side or just maybe the likes of us. It's not impossible I don't think, for maybe 10-12 million?

if he was that much, snap him up mate. Hes looked outstanding for his team for a while now. but i just think ed cost more than that, and a bidding war would definately ensue

I think the real problem wouldn't be the price Dawson, but actually tempting Toni to leave Italy. Many Italian players don't get a look in for the national team once they leave Italy - Zola, Vieri, Cassano. It's a ploy the Italians have used for years to keep their best players over there, and largely it's worked. Now Toni's just established himself as Italy's no.1 striker in the national side, he might not want to risk leaving for England. I expect him to end up at someone like Inter or Roma. He just might stay at Fiorentina and there's maybe an outside chance someone like us could tempt him, slim chance but not impossible.

Spain used the same ply til recently. Before this world cup and before rafa really started it all, i think virtually all 11 first team players always plied there trade in spain

True. What Benitez has started could really benefit the national squad they have for years to come. I think if teams have players with experience in different leagues it really helps in those tournaments. Italy seem to buck the trend though
