just been watching Inter vs Milan, and the ref has taken players off the ground as an Inter goal was disallowed, and the Inter fan reacted by throwing bottless, lighters and flares!

one flare hit Dida near his face, could;ve blined him, but luckliy he only suffered a slight injury to his shoulder.

even after Dida got hit tthe fans conyinued to pelt flares, thier were at least 20 or 30 thrown on the field.

If Roma got punsihed for throwing a coin, Inter are going to get hit really really hard bu UEFa, and I think we could see the banning of flares for good.

God mad scenes they are still throwing the flairs, hope they ban them tomorrow, this doesnt look very good atall, TBH I actually thought earlier on tonight our game may get abandoned before that even happened.
In the last week or so 95 police have been injured at various Italian games, and that number will have risen by tonight no doubt.
And they call the english hooligans they need to be taking a good look at the Italians, first the coin at Frisk now this.

yeh, the ref took the players back on, and the game re-started only for 5 more flares to come down, so the match was then abandoned.

Inter may not be in Europe next season.

Speaking of police, where the f**k where they to stop people from throwing the flares?

The English get the worst reputation, but if that had of happened in a UK ground, the riot police would of been on the scene in minutes...

It shows nothing was done when the game tried to re-start.

a lot of fans in the bottom area of that ground were taken out, but the top area was still packed and thats where most of the flares came from.

flares will be banned from UEFA competitions IMO as a result. Dunno if it will stretch as far as local Serie A games and the likes though.

I'm ashamed that Inter and Roma are italian teams.
Such thing never happened in Juventus history, I trully hope it won't start tomorow

... the use of flairs is quite common in Italian and Spanish football though.. should they just not be banned from the grounds...

Things aren't that easy in Italia. It's part of the culture, and you can be sure the fan who goes often to the stadium will ALWAYS manage to take something inside. I once saw a guy with a flare-gun... And recently one of this gun was used to throw flares on the opposition, by the Livorno Ultras.
The troubles always come from the same clubs. The Ultra leaders are the only one able too educate the rest of the people in this situation.
Inter must be banned from European competitions for one year at least, so should have Roma been!

With all due respect to yourself Juventino, you sound like a reasonable man and a responsible fan but what is puzzling us over here in England is how Italian clubs can create repeated and regular disturbances at football games week in week out and UEFA or the Italian FA fail to act

It's similar in the Balkan countries with racism being almost acceptable and tolerated and even a multi cultural country such as Spain has it's problems yet the authorities do little to combat these problems ?

Roma, Parma, Lazio are in disperate need of cash to avoid bankrupt.
Inter spends millions without winning anything and everybody make fun of them this years coz they finish all thier games in parity.
Fiorentina was supposed to be in the top four but is struggling to stay in first division.
Juve and Milan have been involved in doping affairs.
Racists can still come to the stadium and boo black players in some cities.
Serie A newcomers have strong Ultras.
Napoli collapsed in third division.
TV channels keep showing and showing referees mistakes, so they are treated (excuse the word) like ******.
Fans are fed up with the spanish supremacy of last years in CL.
And so on...

The fans are mad because the italian football is no where near the level it was in the 80's.
Hopefully it's getting better in some cities thanks to the exemplar players (Nedved, Maldini for example).
But in other cities you can find b@stards who don't deserve to wear their jersey (Cufrè, Totti, Dacourt, Materazzi, Stankovic, Maresca for example)...

The gap is getting bigger between Inter, Roma and the rest of Italia

I won't comment our fan's behaviour during the first leg: I disagree with it, but it wasn't an usual situation, so it can't be analysed like the rest I think.

.. it's sad in one way.. I used to watch Napoli when Maradona played for them.. serie A was on the box... and thriving.. now a league in decline truly.. a lesson perhaps for the Premisership.. with huge salaries and TV deals.. how things can end ..

Ironic too that Nottingham Forest, who won the European Cup twice, will likely play in the third Division in England.. the first time such a relegation has happened..
