Interviewer "David, is Wayne Rooney dissapointed that the young Swiss player has taken away his record of being the youngest scorer at the European Championships?"
Beckham " He's not too worried, Wayne aims to reclaim the record against portugal tonight"
let us now indulge further into the mind of the brilliant brain that is david beckham.
"Pele was a complete player. I didn't see him live obviously, because I wasn't born"
"My parents have been there for me, ever since I was about 7"
"I remember so clearly us going into hospital so Victoria could have Brooklyn. I was eating a Lion bar at the time"
"Alex Ferguson is the best manager I've ever had at this level. Well, he's the only manager I've actually had at this level. But he's the best manager I've ever had"
"We're definitely going to get Brooklyn christened, but we don't know into which religion!"
"I always used to go for blondes and quiet girls, but Victoria is the total opposite - dark and loud."
"Well, I can play in the centre, on the right and occasionally on the left side" -when asked if he thought that he was a volatile player.
That comment about Rooney: you couldn't make that up!
Funny thing is, for a guy who had one very good season (1999) and occasionally scores from free kicks, he's a fairly average international footballer. So how the hell is he a millionaire 40 times over?
I mean its a crazy world we live in that an average player with limited intelligence is one of the most famous people in the world and is stinking rich!
Yes.. being thick is the new smart..he's making millions out of the book..and guess what? the Neville brothers have bought signed copies for themselves!
I do agree I reckon its the celebrity obsession in Britain at the moment. I did actually support England but questions have to be asked as to why he was taking the penalties. Against Argentina it seemed like a personal way of resting his 98 ghosts but that was a rubbish penalty and since then hes been even worse. It looks to me like his image came before the good of the team
