Real Sociedad signed Viafara from Pompey. He doesn't need to be great to improve what Xabi Alonso's brother provides (nothing).

I've heard he doesn't know a word of english, and that due to that, there were some pathetic situations when he played.

But there are things that are not idiom dependant  such as ball control, and since there are many good fans here that watch lots of football, you might know him.

Pompey's income also welcome.

Thank you for your help.

Sorry sabre cant help you on this one mate, but when Harry came back to Portsmouth he was saying on SKY Sports News he told some players to go take a corner on the training pitch and they went to defend :D In other words they didnt have a feckin clue.
Good luck mate, for you and our Xabi :;):

The same position.

The problem is genetics, mates. Xabi's like his father, the footballer, and Mikel Alonso is prettier like his mother, but no football.

In my forum though, he's quite appreciated, don't ask why. He has no tackling at all, he doesn't intercept balls. He runs a lot, yes, but that's uneffective if you don't have tackling. That's necessary for a defensive midfielder. He hasn't thrown a long shot in all the season, and gives away lots of balls. The coach though has had playing him all the season. Fortunately he's going to be sacked.

Worst thing about it is that he says that watches all Liverpool games. And sometimes tries to be his brother with a long ball. Erm, not quite.

CIGGY: Harry was talking about Viafara in that corner incident :D the reason is that the player didn't understand a word of English

might be worth finding a pompey site?

I considered it a milisecond.

But then I realised I couldn't bother to sign up a Pompey site. Giving emails, choosing a nickname for one post, no. :D

Anyway I'm going to see him soon, but since I think there are around here people that watches lots of football, I asked just in case.

Saw him play once this season, he did alright but I can't remember too much about him. He didn't exactly stand out of the team.

Personally I think he'll do alright in La Liga but he's probably average at best and thats being modest.

Perrin got a few good reviews when he signed Viafra last summer and a few distinguished football writers said that Viafra was a diamond in the rough.

I have only seen a couple of minutes of him playing on Match of the Day so cannot really say myself.
