we got fourth and i can't contain myself with the thought of next season. just thinkin about cl football makes me shiver.

First to vote, Whoophee.

I reckon we should be setting a minimum target of getting through the both group stages, and into at least the quater finals. That will give the newer lads some good experience of playing together in Europe, and the chance to concentrate on and win the league, so we can win the European Cup the right way, as Champions the following season.

exactly what we need, a bit of optimism after a season that was a bit depressing. i think we could potentially go as far as chelsea. i think we're back on track and headin in the right direction. lets hope we make the right signings this summer...

With the right signings in the summer and a good start next season we will be back on track.

Leon, thats blind optimism, but theres alot of ability there and with the right signings why not?

Aston Villa still have a chance to get thru if only they beat Mancs with at least 13 aggregates and we lose last match!!! :laugh:

In my opinion, I don't we'll reach past group stages. I can see us finishing 3rd in the group stages and then from there we'll be back in the UEFA cup.

Feel free to shoot me for saying this, but, I think that now the second group phase has been abolished, if we can get through the first one, we should do o.k.

I don't think we have the capacity to get as far as Chelsea, but the Quarter finals will suit me - the thing is, would a place in the last eight mean that Houllier stays for yet another year (now that makes me quiver!!!).

****** hell, we have just got fourth place and around £20m in the kitty and all you can do is jump on the managers back again. Give it a rest will you its really tiresome.

Lets see what you think about Houllier after he unveils his latest round of signings.....
