Dunno why josemi is there.
hes only been here a little bit rememeber and he has had smoe good games. Needs a little more time before hes anywhere near the diouff mould...lol
Speaking of diouff, we actually signed him before the world cup where he was outstanding so it wasnt the worst buy ever (or so we thought at the time)
Kewel was a great bargain for us, i remember saying how lucky we were and i still expect good things.

And heskey.. well, he tried hard anyways...lol

Why not put in Diao, he was expensive and wasnt the type of player we needed, complete waste. Bit like spending 16 million or something on 2 goalkeepers in  one day. ???

Josemi is not yet a bad signing - he tackles very well but he seemed to be easily caught out by the pace of the English game because he is either standing too far up and gets bypassed by balls delivered above his head, or gets left behind by pacy left wingers or he tended to stop chasing the ball and assuming it will go out but the opposition manages to retrieve it and deliver easy & unchallenged crosses into the penalty area (as evident in one of the goals by Crystal Palace).

This kind of mistakes can be rectified if he positions himself better (except for being caught out of pace against a quicker opponent) and also not to chase the ball half way and leave it only for the opposing player to chase, collect and deliver an easy cross.

Diao must be the worst signing but Kewell deserve a special mention for being paid 65,000 per week (a top ten EPL wage, mind you!) and not performing anywhere near deserving of that wage.

There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

josemis shown a lot of commitment of late, and doesnt deserve to be called a failure.
kewell gets 65k a week but cost us pittence, so dont have a go at money, have a go at ability, kewell has it, but is showing none. hes injured, showing alack of confidence and needs to score a goal or two.
Diao and Diouff for me are the biggest dissapointments

Kewell actually did something last year

Josemi just joined us

Feel sorry for Diouf cos he cant play in his striking position like Biscan as midfielder

So Heskey

Its not fair to pick on Josemi. He has had a couple of games where he made some mistakes, and now people are talking about him as a bad signing. He has more good games than bad, cost us not a whole lot, and has only been here around 4 months.

Must admit when Josemi arrived I was dead pleased to see his commitment and aggresiveness, he is however getting caught out a lot , diving in early and many of his tackles are verging on a card.
For me Diouff has been the biggest disappointment in recent seasons both on and off the pitch . I'm glad to see the back of him even though we are desparately short of strikers.

i have to say that i'm not steve finnan's biggest fan but i'm actually quite relieved to see him back at right back for sundays game. josemi is guilty of ball watching too often and when you consider how devastating arsenal are down the left flank, it's a good job he isn't playing. ashley cole and pires/reyes would have a field day.
