Yup over for hoping Newcastle will flop, they deserve a UCL spot have done consistently well this season. Mannure will also get over the line, oh well never mind, we were just clinging on hope but too little too late.

Barring a miracle you are right, it’s a shame how we lost it mid season. I think Newcastle deserve it, you just have to look at their goal difference to see that. ManUre on the other hand don’t. Too many decisions went their way and with a goal difference of only ten this far into the season you have to say one of the least deserving sides to make top 4.

Yup, only way is somehow Bournemouth beat Manure and then Chelsea hold them. Can't see it I just think they'll get over the line with scrappy wins. They've definitely been poor but sadly we just showed up too late to the party. However, whatever happens I want us to win our final two games, great momentum for next season.

We've had a great end of reason surge with this winning run but left ourselves just too much to do in the end. Utd winning and us only drawing has pretty much ended our CL hopes.

Stick a fork in, our top 4 run is done

We all more or less were clutching on straws, poor game today. Anyhow glad Firmino got a goal, superb player for us throughout the years. Integral cog with Salah,Mane. Also Milner. Mr reliable has served us well.

Not even a match thread

Didn't think we played great today or deserved the 3 points. Villa where well organised and full of confidence while we where outfought all over the pitch. It was a whiny display from both sides hence the lengthy extra time at the end of each half.

Glad we have just one game left and then this season is finally over.

Generally played well today but an off day in the final third with a lot of poorly executed through balls, crosses, and shots from range. Everything was a gimmie for their keeper with a lot of fairly straight forward opportunities to create openings wasted. Mings probably should have been sent off for kicking Gakpo in the chest and Gakpo's goal probably should have stood. But after Klopp ran up to him and shouted in his face against Spurs when he was the 4th official, the ref today was always going to be biased against us.

Overall we just haven't deserved to qualify for the CL but we showed in the final quarter/third of the season that this is a good group of players who should easily be finishing in the top 4. I'm OK with being in the Europa League next season. I think we predominantly use our second string for the starting 11 but gradually take it more seriously as the knockout stages progress. Will quite enjoy watching the likes of Ramsay, Tsimikas, Gomez, Bajcetic, and maybe the odd academy player, on a Thursday night during the group stages and then hopefully some big ties in the knockout stages.

Roll on next season!

So City win another title "yawn", 5th one in 6 years. Shame we didn't take two of those. It'll be interesting to see how Arsenal perform next season, their confidence is shattered.

EPL is becoming like bundesliga, predictable. Talking about Bundesliga, Dortmund have got a cracking chance to overtake Munich and claim the title. Preventing an 11th title in a row lol.

Send Klopp to the stands, and disallow a perfectly good goal.. that'll teach him a lesson in talking about the officials. That's basically what happened.

The officiating has been awful all season.

City with 115 charges (an incredible number) against them are not only destroying the EPL making it into another Bundesliga but they're also likely to win the CL again, screwing up history. There's no point in 5 years some court saying 'yeah you're right, they broke the rules 115 times' because they'll have racked up how many more cups by then? Arsenal deserved to win the league this year, they are the victim of City's fraud.

Even Dermot Gallagher agrees it should have been a goal and a red card to Mings. He never disagrees with the decisions

This team never deserved top 4 this season. utter garbage until it was basically too late. I'm really worried for this team as most core players are 1 year older.
