Exactly - also wouldn't be afraid to start him in Prem games but not like last season when he was starting week in week out because there was no one else to play.

The start of last season was a shambles because of the very poor window that preceded it. This seasons start has been excellent and we have a bit more strength in depth this time around also. So hopefully we wont burn out any young potential this season or again.

Hopefully not - we maybe lacking some real quality in certain areas on the pitch but we at least have some numbers in reserve

We could do with a bit more tbh.

I'm not sure about Alberto and Aspas, i think it was the Notts County game that really opened my eyes. They were found wanting against a very mediocre side. And since we have a few journey men in the squad already, leaves us with a thin enough group of quality players. Of course i know they are hardly here two minutes so hopefully its only a matter of them settling in and finding their feet but at the moment we cant afford in major injuries, if that happens we could be back to square one in terms of having to throw the young lads in again.

Totally agree - Alberto looks a nothing player , can pass the ball but in the game against Notts he showed nothing bar a couple passes.

Aspas needs to find a way to combat the physical side of the prem - seems to just shy and hide away.

Certainly need stronger options for both the bench and the first team.

If Sturridges isn't fit tonight then we will see how well equipped we are or are not .

That's my main concern, our overall quality in dept. Our first team when fit are a match for any team in the league if we can keep this positive mentality going but one or two key injuries could really hamper any chances of gaining a top 4 spot. I was hoping this would be addressed in the window but we have gone out again and bought on the cheap and for players who aren't quiet there yet in terms of their overall package.

I think we lack real quality in the wide areas - a proper top class wide player with pace and creativity and also in the middle lack power and strength and someone who destroys the middle of the park.

And We've no decent wingers, so lack width. It's Rodgers fault, he hasn't signed properly. He's bought too many defenders.

Yes we are sorted in the defensive department but we cant say its the managers fault for not bringing in top quality wide men, he may have been on the look out for some but couldn't get it done for various reasons.
I think anybody who watched the team last season was crying out for CB's and a LB to be bought during the summer, it happened. It could be due to the size of the budget that was at his disposal this summer for all we know.

I think Moses has made a case for his place in the team for the Southampton game. He had a decent start and chipped in with a very good goal.
