Toure was free... no risk , dry your eyes.
Aspas and alberto give us some depth either on the bench or in the first 11 if needed.

BR has said he wants a couple more first teamers, give him chance.

Take the two recent issues in regards Pepe and new signings

One minute he is saying that Pepe and Mignolet will fight out for number one and provide competition for each - next minute he is leaving on loan because he is too expensive to sit on the bench

Then he says that the new signings are just squad fillers when the new signings believe they are here for first team !

You can go through all the interviews throughout the year ( a twitter account has ) and look at the amount of talk he has actually done over the last 12 months - I actually thought he was starting to be quiet but has started again

Quit talking the talk and start getting the results - no manner of talk will disguise anything when we come 7/6 th again this season.

Want to see the club actually show they are bloody serious about going for the CL - the last time I saw something from the club to show us that was when we bought Suarez ! Since then it's been all talk but actions and results that just shout out mid table.

Disagree.

Pepe: He's not going to come out and say we've bought mignolet as first choice so now we're looking for someone to bid for pepe is he's no longer needed. They're going to be in "competition" until a bid for pepe comes in.

New signings - he said they improved the squad. How do you know that their personal opinion is anything other than that? - If I was Luis Alberto I don't expect to start in front of gerrard or lucas  - he knows he's a squad player who will try and take his chance whenever he gets game time

Agree

- But this has been happening for the last 5 years - its not just a BR problem.

No one is ever "free" and every signing is a risk

Cole was free and cost us millions.

must admit if cissokho is one of the two `starting XI` type signings we are supposed to be making to strengthen the first team i will be properly fvcking underwhelmed.

Alberto and Aspas are both more suited to play through the middle.  Not quite #10's not quite #9's pretty much suited to playing a false 9 role.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

But no "bid" for Pepe arrived and now he is on loan ! A total mess

And agree that it's not just a BR problem it's a club problem - stems from the owners and their choices and decisions - none shout out that we are really serious to get CL.

This time last year players like Allen and Borini arrived and we were expecting more money to be spent and more players ( as mentioned by BR ) and Assaidi arrived followed by Sahin on loan ! Its seeming like De Ja vu all over again - a bunch of mid price players that the top clubs wouldn't touch and words that we will be buying more ! I don't expect any to arrive unless Suarez goes.

Our net spend so far I'm led to believe is minimal

The club got an extra £55mil in the summer from the telly money - we saved about 250 grand a week in wages last summer so that's another £20mil - where is the money going ?

If we are supposed to be self sustaining that means we spend what we earn ? We are in the top ten of income in football - yet seem to spend only what we make in sales !

We aren't acting like a club who wants CL - by now we should have sealed the deal for someone like Eriksen or Mhkytarian or Pappadolus or going guns out to get someone like Soldaldo. But we haven't done it since we bought Suarez

Act like a mid table team and surprise surprise that is where we will finish

False no 9 !! Basically it means you don't have a striker good enough so fill the gap with attacking mids.

Both Aspas and Alberto look like they are going to get blown over in a slight breeze and Albertos passing so far looks shocking. Aspas seems to have good movement so far

I can't disagree mate.  It seems Brendan would rather have 3 more rounded players playing at the front than a traditional #9.  Doesn't necessarily make them not good enough.  It's just a coaching philosophy.  We'll have to sit back and see how it works.  Trust me, I'm not thrilled with the idea.  I am very alarmed that he seems to want to put a team together of a shltload of small technical players that like to knock the ball around and keep the opponents running all day.

I'm actually much more disturbed at the look of our team at the back end right now.  Yeah, Wisdom is mobile, good in the air, good with his feet.  But he's damn near young enough to be my grand child.  Agger being thought of as a ball playing CB?  He is so woefully one footed that I shlt myself any time it even looks like he might have to put the ball on his right foot.

Obviously I'm going off the rail here so I'll reel it in.
I'll leave it as this.  Brendan has a vision.  I see what he intends.  It's not going to take 2-3 years for this vision to come to producing results.  More like 4-6 years.

Alberto's passing has been shocking? You must have been watching different games, Benny, because it was far from shocking. I'm actually pleasantly surprised by his passing and control on the ball.

I hope we seal a move for Soldado for 2 reasons

1) Quality player and would fill the gap left by Suarez
2) Be nice to steal a transfer from tottenham for a change

2 things.

One he is nothing like suarez style. He is a finisher

Two who gives a Sh*t about what spurs are doing, how did stealing our transfers work out for them last year?

Unless I missed something I never said he was the same style as Luis I said he would fill a gap and also then finished above us 1 point from fourth

once again Benny the Man city fan shows he's clueless. Are you making this cr@p up benny?
Alberto's passing is very very good, Aspas has shown potential (he has only played a couple of games so far!) and I think we have at least 2 players good enough to play in the gap.

don't know what there smoking at benny's house.

It looked far from good against Melbourne. At times watched him fail to complete simple 5 yard passes and pass straight to the oppo. No impressed at al
