What about signing Shaun Wright-Phillips - he'd be a good buy in my opinion. Works hard good on the ball. What is everyone else's opinion

Slightly better than Pennant, more direct ,faster, better shot, but cant cross. If we hadn't already got Pennant ,swp would be a good buy, as we have Pennant I think we should be looking a bit higher to make a difference. Its just a pity he has wasted his time at Chelsea, but perhaps too late for us now.

... 'The 25-year-old cost the Blues £21million when he was signed from Manchester City in July 2005.'

Saint, looks likely we are getting from the same search source.

Yes I am thinking on the same line too.

He's to me among the very few wingers we observed in epl that can often easily got passed opp markers and leaving them trailing behind him, embarrassed.
It's just so exciting to watch him trapped and then move with the ball.

I think it was a wrong choice of him to jump in to chel$ki in the first  place. This place is stuff with just too many branded players with high salaries. I mean how can these branded players not be starters ahead of shaun? How can that big mouth so called 'special one' substantiate his elite purchases?

Poor Shaun we all know was just short of many playing hrs until towards the end of the last season he was featured perhaps a little more. He could have been heading towards a 'branded' product I think. And now if it's true, buying at £21m and selling him at £10m is a shame.
:(

Well, if only he had got to hear some words of wisdom from a former branded league and England striker Gary Lineker ...

'But for players, the real currency is silverware. It would be a mark of unbelievable greed if your only motivation in making a move was money -- it is all relative after all, you still earn thousands and thousands a week.' :bowdown

Well said.

Good player if we could get him.

Somehow I think he's content to sit on the bench at Chelsea, rather than move and get first team football.

lennon is better in terms of taking it passed people, but his delivery is terrible.

I think if the reports are true that Chelsea are willing to let him go for £10Mil then Rafa should make him his number 1 target as far as a right winger goes.

If rafa rates him and brings him to Liverpool , we all can be assured that rafa will bring the best out of him.

But somehow both pennant and SWP are similar in the way they play . I guess SWP has better pace and shoots better.

He'll go to westham i'' say for 75 a week

Can't see us doing business with Chelsea for the player, to be honest.

:p What are you on mate cos I want some  :p

Go to West Ham? That would be a step back for him and he wants trophies.

Ive heard Ian Wright joke around here and there but I honestly think he would like to come to Liverpool if he had to leave.

Will Chelsea want to sell him to us though?

He's more adept at running with the ball, is pacier and his control is better than Pennant's, but I question whether he would want to leave Chelsea. One of the main reasons he moved there was to be closer to his friends and family in London, I'm not so sure a move back to the North west would suit him. For £10m that would be a very astute signing in my view, an improvement on Pennant, but perhaps not as cultured as Simao.
