He played in a friendly the other night against Hibs. Dowie obviously isn't as stupid as he looks.

Oh well. for all his shiteness, he's still scored more goals in the World Cup than Wayne Rooney and Frank Lampard. :laugh:

Definately doesnt surprise me that he failed his trial, what does surprise me is charlton actually saw something in him to take him on trial

The transfer of Diao has to be one of the worst pieces of misjudgement ever inflicted upon a club by it's manager. A truly incredible error compounded by the fact that the bloke seems to have a first-rate attitude but just suffers from the fact that when push comes to shove, he isn't actually very good at football at all.
It will be interesting to see when his Euromillions winning contract finally expires where his actual level will be should he wish to remain in this country. My guess is that he will play for a mid to low ranking Championship team. Think Barnsley and you wouldn't be far away.
