Wigan's shocking away support

The Premiership - General Discussion

Postby Yossi_Benaloon » Tue Aug 31, 2010 10:52 am

At Tottenham on Saturday they had 60 fans. For a Premier League team that is just ridiculous. Now this Premier League football article tries to defend this and state reasons for such a poor following. But there are clubs in Leagues One and Two who boast better travelling support than Wigan. And teams like Leeds, Sheff Wed or Nottingham Forest have huge away support in the lower leagues and could easily fill Premier League stadiums. I know Wigan have it tough due to their location, but still 60 fans is ridiculous and for a Premier League team frankly embarassing.

Kinell, we had 90 supporters in Trabzon for a Europa Qualifier last week.  If Nan and her posse can travel to the a.rse end of Turkey surely a few Wiganers can pool their resources for a day out darn sarf. :O

People in Wigan just dont have the money to travel to London!

Remember the place is a fuc'king dump,90% have an IQ of lower than 50,about 80% are in someway related (even though some dont know it) all are skint and most would never make it home if they left their hometown!
