We should get fourth spot but then we should be ahead of Charlton, we should be beating the likes of Southampton at home and Portsmouth away. In truth we should be clear of the team in fifth

When you get the ball, I want you to beat a couple of men and smash the ball into the net, just the same way you used to at Bury," said Shankly. Lindsay replied: "But Boss that wasn't me, it was Bobby Kerr." Shankly turned to Bob Paisley and said: "Christ Bob, we've signed the wrong player."

I'm surprised 11 people are confident we'll finish fourth. I know we're in amongst some average sides but we are four points adrift and couldn't even beat Wolves albeit away.

I think they'll finish fifth.  They better, I've got $50 on them to finish in the top five!

We've still to play Arsenal and the mancs away so there are two games we'll probably lose. On current form, any fixture home or away is a potential banana skin, hopefully the back four will be solid and remain unchanged and then we'll have a solid base to build on. So far this season we've neither been strong defensively nor scoring freely
