with rafa's eye for young talent now filling up the squad he must surely be tempted to go for walcott..

cant really seein it happen, we dont have much money and i cant see rafa splashin the cash, he sed the other day english home grown players r just too expensive, its a big gamble iv we did buy him for 6 mill he could be worth 20 odd mill in a few seasons. a good investment,

I agree with you greenred, I never actually thought about it before, but when you look ast the like's of Pennant and Bentley I can see where you're coming from.

As for Theo, I really hope he become's a Liverpool player, it's a too big an opertunity for a Liverpool fan to turn down a move to his favourite team, so let's hope Rafa tables an offer for him. Just thing how well he'd improve under the influence and leadership of Gerrard, Alonso, Carragher and the like's. Here's hoping.

He`s not under a senior contract at Southampton though.He can literally start training at Anfield tomorrow and let a tribunal sort out compensation for Southampton.

this must be a tricky time for young walcott. what is he, 17 now? and he can choose between signing for the club he supports (liverpool) or playing alongside his footballing idol (thierry henry). to be honest i've not had the opportunity to see him play but if all accounts are true he must be like the second coming or something. i'm sure he's talented but i also wonder if the press and the agents are looking for the 'new rooney' a little bit too soon.

He's 16, and free to leave Southampton whenever he pleases.

They have a pre-contractual agreement that he'll sign pro terms on 16th March.

F*cking get a shift on Theo, you could be at Anfield for 6am!

Regarding the "Idol vs Favourite team" issue, it's f*cking simple. You go to LFC, as Terry Henry will leave farcenal within 3 years.

Theo to LFC. - start a f*cking chant going at the match tomorrow, then he's bound to join!!!!!

He`d be wasted at Arsenal.Wenger works magic with foreigners,but has an inability to work with young British players.

I think he will leave arsenal and go for Real Madshit ....

WEll read an article in the paper this morning with rafa saying he often doesn't look towards promising english youth players as they are too expensive he said something like clubs want over 5 mil for a 16 year old with no experience.

Does anyone else think he could be referring to theo walcott?

If so then he is most certainly arsenal's.

well now... the lad's not bad is he? cheers for that, its for first i've actually seen him in action. i don't think we'll be seeing him at anfield though, despite welsh wizzards claims that he was going to be unveiled with agger

I would love to have Theo Walcott at our club.

He would get his fair share of first team games at us.

but from an english perspective if he didnt come to us i would rather he went to Arsenal than anywere else (chelski or Man ure)
