thought it would be less, but he deserved to go for it, could've broen Pires' ankle, then he had the audacity to go ballistic at the linesman and "manhandle" the ref.

As Southampton are still in the Cup, it works out he can play in the very last game of the season.

sure was, how he felt he had nay right to complain is beyond me. The tackle on Pires was worth a staright red IMO, but it didn't matter as he got a 2nd yellow anyway.

He behaved like a park player ,(plays like one as well  :D )
Mind you he did come right out the next day with a full on apology saying basically he'd behaved like a tw'at. He's right on that score and deserved to be banned for the rest of the season.

well done the fa i say.

it's about time they showed some balls and actually hit a player hard for such disgraceful behaviour. at least now they've set a precedent for the future.

i just heard that as punishments were not as harsh in the 70's, his hair has only been reprimanded and is allowed to play in the next game   :D

Didn't David Prutton's haircut score the winner for Arsenal in the 1971 FA Cup final?  :D

He got what he deserved, that sort of behaviour is just not exceptable.

I would like referes to hand out yellow cards more for Wayne Rooney like outbursts, the it would be interesting to see how many players want to swear at the ref.
