Owen told Sky Sports: "Strikers always rely on the rest of the team.
"You can't do anything on your own. If the team doesn't play well then strikers can suffer too.
"One of the big things in football is confidence. And when we've only got one point from four games going into this match, you don't expect everyone to be flying.
"I wanted to show the best of me on Saturday but it wasn't to be for a few reasons.
"I'm sure it won't take much time to get used to the lads, the football and everything else.
"It's not been the greatest week with England losing and us only drawing. But it's going to get better.
"Pressure doesn't really affect me. I've been used to pressure all my life and probably prefer playing a game when people expect things of you.
"I expect a lot of myself.
"I'd like to think the rest of the team are looking for me to score. You must have that mentality."
