at least united dropped two points.
city are starting to look ominous though, especially at home, putting 7 past norwich and 6 past spurs takes some doing.

City look absolutely unbeatable at home in the league. Wouldn't suprise me if they won 17, 18 or 19 home league matches this season. Incredible.

Away from home though they appear to be a bit open and have a soft centre. If Pellegrini has any sense away from home he'll drop an attacking player and push Yaya forward, at home, leave him where he is.

Best midfield player in the league for me by a distance.

Liverpool 7 Spurs 0, Sept 1978 ... this is still the best of the lot. Not to forget that Kevin Keegan's Newcastle 7 Spurs 1 in Dec 1996. Cheer up Spurs fans, 6-0 isn't so bad

to be fair toure hasnt got that much competition, there`s not that many top class CM`s in the prem these days, only a few years ago you had the likes of gerrard, alonso, mascherano, lampard, essien, fabregas, scholes, modric and even the likes of lassana diarra at portsmouth who always seemed to do well against us.
when you look back there was a reason why english clubs were regularly getting 2 and even 3 sides into the semi`s of the CL, there was a lot of good midfielders playing in the prem at that time.

Agree with that... There isn't the same amount of quality in that area in the league. I think also the standard of centre halfs has decreased alot aswell with only really Kompany being considered a top defender these days. I wouldn't put Lampard or Mascherano in that group though.

Infact, thinking about it, beyond Toure there isn't anyone off the top of my head baring Wilshere who I think is within a level or two of him. The next best midfielders are the likes of Gerrard, Arteta, Barry, Carrick, Schniederlin... the fact that Gerrard and Essien are 3 or 4 years past their best and can still even respectabley be considered in the top five/ten midfielders in the league shows just how much of a lack of quality there is in this area in England at the moment.

absolutely  :nod  he is in some fantastic form and has really come to the fore this season. some of his goals have been fantastic, his link up play and running is impressive too. very much like a young gerrard for me  :nod
id say he's pretty much nailed on for young player of the year award.

Sunderland are awful.  No passing, no ideas, just hoofing it forward and hoping for the best.

And a disallowed offside goal by the female ref :D

To be fair though, the penalty appeal was correct and they should have had a pen. But what goes around comes around I guess.

everton were very impressive at arsenal, they have put together a cracking midfield there on a shoestring budget, they did to arsenal what arsenal did to us.
it`s imperative that we bring in at least one quality CM in january

The more I watch them the more I realize how much it blows we didn't get 3 points there.  3 points there would have been huge at how they're playing, giving us a bigger cushion and more confidence when they come to our place.

Kinda makes me more mad Mirralis wasn't sent off.

yeah, everton probably had the lions share of possession on the day and created a lot of chances but as you say we deffo had opportunities to win it ourselves, the sending off that wasnt and allens glaring miss (both when we were winning 2-1) would have killed the game off in our favour imo
those 3 points would have been huge
