Ok

Anyway back to Pellegrini

Tevez leaves he will prob be replaced by Isco - expect them to try and go for Cavani - that could possibly give them a front line of Cavani , Isco and Aguero supported by Navas and Silva with Toure in the middle

Potentially that is a frightening front line that could win them the title

Think City just needed to add real drive and pace to the front line and have done that with Navas
and potentially this kid Isco.

They lacked a sense of urgency in their play generally in a lot of games I witnessed last year.

You know United's main rivals smell blood now and intend to capitalise on that touch of doubt
that will be drifting through Old Trafford.

The potential is definiately there now for two teams to over take them if Chelsea and City make
the right moves this window.

Lacking drive and pace? Players like Aguero, Silva and Toure provided exactly that. What they lacked was a creative midfielder and a proper manager.

Sorry Eds you say none of us know anything about football outside Ingurland ( Racism) Straight away. You claim Pellegrini is this amazing manager that his best achievement was coming second to Barcelona. He was given millions of pounds to spend. Bought Santi Cazorla, Nacho Monreal, Julio Baptista, Joaquin etc etc etc yet he only came 4th and that was only once. They finished 6th last year.

Pellegrini will be given time - he will be signing players like Isco and possibly Cavani - it will be his most talented squad to date. If he can get Villereal so high then Malaga into CL he will so well at City.

So now its the managers that get teams higher not money okay

You do realise the owner stopped giving money out ? And he spent a decent amount and got a club like Malaga into the CL and then into the knockouts and quarters, nearly into the semi finals bar a dodgy goal.

And please don't accuse someone of racism.

First of all I didn't say that ALL of you know nothing about football, but the fact that the OP misspelled his name and the embarrassing comments about how he hasn't won anything means he isn't a good manager, doesn't really help the local's case does it.  :upside:

As for thinking that saying something like "Ingurland" is racist.

His best achievement may have been coming 2nd to Barcelona but he did it with a staggering 75% winning rate. The best winning rate for ANY MADRID MANAGER EVER IN THEIR HISTORY and yet they got rid of him. Kind of summarises that shambolic club rather then Pellegrini.

As for the millions he spent at Malaga, wow, he only came 4th?!? Were you expecting him to win the league with 50 million he was given. Especially after the money dried up in his last season where he still managed to finish 6th with that same money from 2 seasons prior

Let's compare his spending compared to Madrid and Barcelona in the last 3 seasons, seriously stop embarrassing yourself it's fking ridiculous.

Only manager to have taken two minnows to the semies of the CL in the last decade. Yeah s**t manager.

In all seriousness ,and for the sake of debate

Making comparisons between a manager that has been in football for 26 years and managed
to collate one trophy of note since he left South America ,with one who has been managing
for a mere 7 years is churlish in the extreme.

Pellegrini lost his position at Madrid simply because the owners deemed his style of play not
exciting enough ,likewise Capello for introducing a more pragmatic approach to Madrids game.

As for using trophies won as a barometer to determine a managers standing in the game.
I agree, its a ridiculous notion ???  ,but to include a manager who is in terms of longevity
a veritable pup against a seasoned veteran and then make comparisons between the two
is equally naive.

I think how Cities owners treated Mancini was beneath contempt ,and I fervently hope that
the decision to replace him with Pellegrini comes back to seriously bite them on their arses
and consequently leave more teeth marks than Luis.

Madrid fired Pellegrini because Maureen declared himself available for them ( and then took the team backwards ).

Mancini had a mare at City - his City squad should have walked the last two prem titles and got into the Knockout of the CL - City massively under performed last season and Mancini paid the price for that. Pellegrini gets a lot out of the teams he manages and will do the same for City.
