Kewell to miss norwhich game - More injury trouble

Kewell battling to be fit
         SBS

Socceroo star Harry Kewell could miss Australia's Confederations Cup qualifiers against the Solomon Islands through injury.

The Daily Telegraph reports that Kewell will miss Liverpool's Premier League game at Norwich this weekend due to hamstring and groin strains, and is also a doubt for the UEFA Champions League clash against Olympiakos in Athens and the league game at Chelsea.

If the former Leeds United attacker is ruled out of those three games he seems set to miss the crunch games against the Solomon Island in Honiara on October 9 and Sydney on October 12, and Kewell's agent Bernie Mandic told the newspaper that the key will be if his client is fit for the Olympiakos game.

"Harry is receiving treatment and the key for Liverpool is to have him ready for the Champions League match in Greece," he said.

"They're hoping he'll make it but only time will tell. There's no point in him risking a minor injury turning into major injury like he did with his ankle last year with so many important games to come."

hes being a risk since we signed him , he does not look intrested on the field or he,s being injured for over a year. bring on warnock he needs a good run in the team. the aussies are playing shortly he,ll have to be fit for that.

Yup I think Warnock will do well against Norwich, or we could play both Cisse and Baros and play Garcia on the left :;):

Warnock would give us a nice left sided balance to the team and is more aggressive.

Actually its an injury he had last season.  Houllier wanted him to get surgery on it during the summer, so did Frank Farina (the Australian Coach) but he decided to go on a holiday in france instead.

Why doesnt that suprise me. Tell him he can have the rest of the season off on holiday if he wants, the waste of space.
