i think Real are going to win the CL so the best we can hope for i guess is meeting them in the final....

regarding everything else, im with Gybs on this one... blaming him for leaving ? not for a minute....

Tony barrett just said that the fascists agreed to pay 30 million on Sunday and the fee wouldn't have gone down since then . Know who i believe . Anyay 30m for someone who's 28 in november is pretty good going as far as i'm concerned .

well last summer i thought rafa was wrong to try and sell xabi and barry and it has come back to haunt us but as igor has said we got great money for him and we now got a chance to improve our squad with players that can take us that extra bit towards the title . Rafa has to get it right now .

damn right he has to get it right now, weve lost a very important player and it is vital that Rafa spends the money correctly on a player of at least the same class as Xabi other wise i fear the worst. I just hope Rafa isnt planning on promoting Lucas to the first team, and buying an average player like Poulsen to compete with him.

Where do you get that feeling from

Besides Cavalieri, Bellamy, Degen, Gonzales, Lucas, Pennant, Babel, Voronin, Keane, Dossena and about 25 others i'd say he got his transfers pretty spot on ...

BBC are speculating:

"It is believed Real returned with an offer of £30m that could rise to £34m depending on Alonso's success in Spain."

- now that would be good - especially if we'd have considered £15m for him last summer!

Its important anyway that this money will be put in good use otherwise you could say good bye to another title chance..
Wonder who his going to buy though because out of the 3 positions we need players for i doubt we've enough cash... Most likely cover for alonso and cover striker.. Cover striker is crucial, if torres gets injured who the feck could we rely on?!
