You can kiss his @rse all you want he was sh!t for 2 seasons injured for months , he needed a kick up the @rse he got one. And he has left us because of Rafa's pursuit Gareth fecking barry.

can you fecking blame him one single bit if he left because the manager wanted to replace him ?? would you stay somewhere your not wanted at work ? highly doubt it . Xabi owed us nothing and produced some magic for us and helped us win big ears number 5 and the fa cup and was instrumental in last seasons challenge - for that i will thank him instead of being bitter because a player has decided to leave after being treated poorly by the manager .

Well, the spanish press seems to believe it is £27 million+3 in add ons over 5 years.

Oh well, he had to go I guess and we didn't totally pull our pants down.

I wish him all the best, he can win whatever he wants in Spain for all that I care and I hope we meet them in the CL to that he can see what he is missing. I always liked him and at the end of the day I dont think he treated us to bad and has kept quiet for most of this drawn out saga

Well done Rafa for sticking to the price and getting it, he deserves a lot of praise for this one.

If Rafa brings in class replacements then in a few months time we will be saying ALonso!......Alonso who? I for one wont lose any sleep over him going....he will have to make do with a runners up medal next season with Madrid.......coz' the 'La liga' title will be won by Barca!. :nod

I think maybe shes dissapointed because she felt he was a red and loved the club!
I can see where you are coming from,but equally I feel that the Gareth Barry saga should have been forgot about.
Xabis choice to hand in a request was a huge one,im sure he had good mates in other players who wanted him to stay as well!

Last seasons will he wont he stay or go shi,te may have been a factor but I doubt very much if its the only reason he chose to go!Thats the easy option..then we can blame Rafas pursuit of Barry and put it to bed.
Id say the missus wanted home and maybe Xabi has had enough of life in England too.

I think its been a while since a first team regular has handed in an official transfer request at LFC!

He may well still love the club Baz and always will have a place in peoples heart because of Istanbul etc buth that doesnt mean he is bad for leaving - many others have left in the past and not been slagged off for it . why should he of forgotten the barry saga ? if it wasnt for the money he would of been replaced ? thats the only reason it didnt go throug

If I was any player Id play for LFC for free with a broken leg if they'd have me!..but I love the club!
Im not saying he's a kunt...Im saying that people are mistaken in saying the Barry cr@p was why he left and thats it,the bottom line is Real Madrid in his mind is a bigger club and in his home country i reckon plus his missus wanted home!

People usually wish players all the best..I'll say thanks Xabi,but I hope you win feck all at Madrid because they are all that is wrong with football!
