That took me a minute to figure out I thought you were having a pop at me there. :D

A slash is / so basically when you want something in bold thing first open then close. Open is just B in crackets and close is the same but with a /on the inside. Just click the bold button twice and you will see what I mean.

If you click the bold button on your console twice you will see firstly an opening and then a closing. From that unless you are blind you will spot the slash and where it is meant to go. Just put your text inside the b's. Or click B once, write your text after then press it again to encapsulate the text in bold. Make sense?

Why don't they just have a button which you click on your keyboard and it types in bold FFS. They do it with capital letters so it can't be that hard. One for bold, one for italics, one for capitals and one for normal. Actually, feck the italics the other three would be just fine.

I've always said whenever they are inventing anything, they should have a numpty on hand (I'm cheap and available) who can put them right. When they say "and setting up your modem is absolutely idiot proof", we can say NO IT FECKING ISN'T YOU SQUARE HEADED PONCE!!!. You know the kind of thing. me and Nan could sort em out, there'd be a revolution in electrical technology. Suddenly the 75% of the population for whom the whole thing is a complete mystery, would actually be able to use the "brown" function on their microwave, or record a tv programme on their DVD recorder which is actually the one they want to watch and isn't the discovery channel.

A few weeks back, my DVD player started playing black and white. Even if you put the telly through it (AV 1 or whatever the feck it is) it was black and white. I pulled it out, turned it off an on, fecked around with it, tested the wires were pushed in properly and all that old b0ll0cks but got nowhere. I googled the model on the internet and there was some bloke in Minsk who was certain he could fix it for a small mortgage. Anyways needless to say I thought "feck that" and went and bought another one. I plugged that one in and it was black and white as well. Fecking unbelieveable!!!!    Course when I eventually stopped chewing my knuckles with rage, I realised it might be the telly. So I fecked around with the remote control (basically pressed every button on it simulataneously by jumping up and down on it) and discovered that there was a symbol on one of the buttons which looked a bit like an eclipse, which turned the telly black and white  ??? One of the kids had pressed it fecking about.

Two questions. 1. Why have a black and white function on a colour telly? 2. Why not replace the silly sun/moon symbol with a B/W kind of carry on? Some of these people need a rocket up their erse and no mistake  :veryangry

bigmick wrote:As for referring to a PM which I sent on the open forum (and I do remember it although I don't save them as a rule), well I don't think that is on to be honest, I think it's poor form.

Where on earth did i mention "on the open forum" - twas a PM as i plainly indicated. Exactly that...a private message.

I make no inference by mentioning it other than the recognition that indeed, you did send one.  Related to the fact that you seem to have conveniently 'forgotten' what it was that had been said at the time, given this persistent stance that a former member who is banned couldn't have done anything that bad - 'pre ban' - i simply chose to remind you of a simple detail which flies in the face of proclaiming this 'ignorance to the facts' approach, regards not knowing what it was that could have possibly occured....You know full well what happened.

Now im not going to disclose the content of the PM. Of course not. Its between you and I. That goes without saying. However, in the interest of keeping a perspective here - it was relevant to the debate that to this day...you seem intent on regurgitating for the benefit of anyone who cares to listen. Or sympathises with.

Not a shred of poor form about it.

Unless of course the revelation that you did send a message of support to me at that time, undermines this extremely tiresome and fruitless 'mini-crusade' you appear to be persisting with. That of the pretence that you havn't the foggiest what deserved the suspension imposed.

Not wishing to become involved in yet another argument, but as usual unable to resist the temptation to clarify the situation, wasn't Bam allowed back after that particular "disgraceful occurence"? Presumably then his current life ban was for something else other than his abuse towards your good self Red?

I did send a message of support to you at that time Red. I stand by every word of the "support" which I conveyed, I meant it then and I meant it now. There is no "pretence" on my part whatsoever. I don't do "pretence" over such things.

I am certain I remember correctly the underlying point of that message, and the feelings expressed within it. I am disappointed most that you are attempting to use that PM to show an inconsistency, an ungenuineness in my stance. Even if infact it were the case (and like I say I don't have a copy of the pm to hand) I'm not going to get involved with a discussion over this particular PM, I don't think it's appropriate.

Moving away from that, I have never given the impression that "I haven't the foggiest" why the "suspensions" were imposed. I know why, you know I know why, as does I should think everyone else. That has never been my point, and I know you know that too.

Bit if you think the "revelation that I did send a message of support to you" undermines the "extremely tiresome and fruitless mini crusade" I appear to be persisting with, then that's good. Presumeably that's why you brought it up, but like I say I meant every word of the pm I sent in support of you. I'd send the same PM again too.

Might be best to just publish it on the forum if you feel that strongly about it.

On the matter of suspensions, I think that the red cards that opposition players took during this season are not a coincidence but a consequence of his absolutelly excellent form this season.

Sometimes out of frustration, like when that player that Stu used to like was sent off, others simply because they reached late to the tackle.

hold on, you're not talking about those suspensions no? ah, the other suspensions. I'll tell you what I haven't got an idea as of why some members have been banned, because a while ago I decided not to worry nor to know anything about newkit politics, and probably it's been the best idea of that month.

The truth is that by "everyone" you actually mean "the 10-15 people that read and write in this forum on a daily basis and actively". My guess is that for the occasional, not that regular, and not so active posters, which are 85% of the forum and a very important part of it, those newkit politics are unknown, they only care about their team, and they probably don't know what the fúck you two are talking about.

Sometimes we think the moderators moderate just for us the regular posters, but no, they moderate for everybody. No, I don't think everyone knows why people are suspended or not.

I've been as guilty as anyone about talking about newkit politics in a public section of a forum, but it's my intention for the future not to do it again. It's boring, and most of the people don't come here for that.

Well said Sabre and good post. Hopefully things are about to improve a bit all round, from all of us, and we can start talking about football again soon. At least then nobody fights anymore :D
