the guy is still a liverpool player and the disrespect he is being shown at the moment with some of these insults is shocking . The guy has done nothing wrong .

I know he hasn't come out publically like Ronaldo and said he want's to go GYBS but I think that is becasue he doesn't have as much balls as Ronaldo to say it to everyones face. Why do you think he didn't even invite any of the lads to his wedding, even Torres!!! I know you will just say he is still a Liverpool player so we have to wait until something definitive happens but if he really didn't want to go then he would have come out and said something a long time ago, especially as Rafa has already said he wants to keep him. The fact that the Madrid players keep opening their mouths is because they know he wants to come.

Thats some laugh Bav, the WEEK before Ronaldo went to Madrid he said he would defiantly be a United player next year - thats balls for you

its xabis wedding he can invite who the feck he wants , you cant slate a guy for who he invites to his own wedding for feck sakes . He is keeping a dignified silence at the moment and we have no idea what is going on behind the scene and how no idea of any of the conversations he has had with the club . The guy has had a busy summer what with conf cup getting married and honeymoon . Maybe he would rather get that out of the way before anything else . So lets show the guy the respect he deserves for 5 years great service to the club so far .and if he leaves he leaves with the blessing of the fans who remember everything he has done for us .

Yep I know but before the year befores CL final he came out and just said it straight up instead of just keeping quiet.

Anyway hopefully we will know by the end of this week.

The murmurings on RAWK were that Reina and Torres were both invited. Torres had his kid a few days before which was why he didn't attend. Not sure about Pepe's reason for missing it.

This is to everyone, not just Bav:

I notice that Alonso has now replaced Rafa as the excuse for slanging matches on here. If you slate Xabi you're insulted, if you defend him you're insulted.

This is a discussion forum. I'm sure you're all big enough and clever enough to realise that means people will have different opinions to your own. Here's a thought - why not discuss them instead of just throwing insults around? Most of the pages of this thread have almost nothing to do with Alonso and are just petty squabbles.

Alonso , Alonso , love him alot but it wont be the end of the world if we lost him to Real Madrid but if we are going to hand it over to them , make sure they pay according to what liverpool wants . Yes he played a major
part last season helping us to finish second yet i think that he can replaced . I would like to see a goal scoring and creative midfield player . It can be done and will be . Just would like this saga to end as soon as posible and start to look forward .

And i do feel if we signed silva , we could let alberto reira play in the middle . From what i've seen from him , he's capable of spraying passed and very creative . LOL

personally, I think Reina would make a horrible midfielder.
