Oh dear... I thought this thread was about Xabi???
I would say havng read this that most of us want him to stay. Some really rate him, some are saying we should sell him and keep hold of Masch. From my point of view we have to hold onto both if we are going to go that one step further next season.
As for Owen. He has not been a liverpool player for years. He owes it to himself and his family to get the best deal possible and go to the best club he can. He was an absolute gem for us and I will never ever forget the goals he scored (particulary the cup final v Gooners) for us. To say that you wish he breaks his leg, or that he falls flat on his face displays a distinct lack of class that a supporter of our great club should display. LFC has too much history, tradition and class for its supporters to respond like this. Too many really terrible things have happened in our history to harp on about a former player signing for a rival. It does not matter to us, we should be focussing on our club and what we are going to do. Owen signing for the Mancs will have no bearing at all on our performance next year, it is in OUR hands.
Therefore, back on thread.. Keep Xabi, kiss his ear, stroke his bottom, do whatever it takes to keep him. Tinkering with the spine of the team when we have just come so close is madness!
