But we dont know who Rafa is going for , he might suprise us :;): lets wait an see ey

I agree Decco WAS a brilliant player but in my eyes he didnt cut it at Chelsea so what makes you think hed do ok here , big dissapointment for me, An Cavalaho yep great centre back but id like to see what Agger an Skrtel are made of mate , Youngsters, Them playin for Chelsea has nothing to do with me not bothing with them tbh, So why if there not good enough for them are they good enough for us,

Would certainly solve quite a few of our problems especially if Alonso does leave... both would be good enough imo and we'd still have quite a bit to spend on other attacking options...
Definitely beats spending 10-15mill on some kid from the German league who had half a good season for a midtable club...

No ACE nO

:D
why not ?!
You'd rather have Lucas and Skrtel than Deco and Carvalho ?!
Carvalho has been one of the best CBs in the world if not THE best in the past 3-4 years or so... Deco with Barcelona was one of the best central midfielders int he world.. started brightly with Chelsea then got injured and couldnt get a game under Hiddink.. both still have what it takes as far as im concerned and would be good buys... Fact that they played for chelsea means fck all to means honestly...

Would rather we spend our money on them than on Javi Martinez (10mill) or Kacar (10mill+) or any other unproven talentless midfielder Rafa seems to have his eyes on...
Same with Wheater and the likes for 5mill or so... will never be as good as Carvalho is despite his age now...

i'd rather have skrtel than carvalho every time, why? cause he has shown for me that he Really wants to play for LFC,his attitude from the word go has been un-questionable, especially after his injury!
for me it's about attitude, commitment & ability, skrtel has all 3 for me. for me the spine of the team is excellent, why compramise in an area we don't need to.

as for lucas-however as much as i don't rate him will be mentioned first cause he's an LFC player.he has & never will have the reputation of someone like Deco, so to compare them is unfair. but to even mention Decco in the same breath as Alonso is an insult to the man.

replace alonso with Decco, it fecking frightens me! just the thought of it, it really does.

He is another whipper snapper who likes to put his foot on it, have a little look round, "see the pass" and all that old b0ll0cks. Where's that picture of a broken record which is one of GYBS's faves when you need it, but those players do not prosper in the Premiership if they are seven stone dripping wet complete with a bucket of hair gel.

No way Jose', or whatever the feck his real name is (he can't be actually called Deco surely?). Even that plank who is one half of the very occasionally funny duo from Tyneside isn't actually called that, it's a nickname I believe. His real name is Roy McFarland or something isn't it? ('Dec' that is, not the diminutive Portuguese trickster).

carvalho would be 1st choice CB if he comes here imo... better than Carragher and definitely better than Skrtel and Agger... Hed get regular football imo....
And i really dont get the whole 'deco isnt suited to english football' thing ... he started off very well with Chelsea... until he got injured... then they changed their manager and like many others he couldnt get a game under Hiddink.. he scored 5 goals and added 5 assists despite missing most of the season...
to put that in perspective.. Fabregas scored 3, Alonso scored 4 and Carrick scored 4... and they all played many more games than Deco did...
Hes still a quality player and both for a combined 12mill or so would be a steal imo..

Real’s new poster boy urges Alonso purchase

Real Madrid’s second most expensive signing Kaka, has urged his new club to move for Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso.

The former World and European player of the year was officially unveiled at the Bernabeu last night in front of 50,000 expectant fans. Having briefly spoken to the exuberant crowd and handed the number eight shirt, curiously owned by Argentine Fernando Gago, the Brazilian then spoke to a scrum of Spanish media.

The ex-AC Milan star told the press: “I've played against Xabi Alonso in two European Cup finals,”

“He's an excellent player and also Spanish. He would be very welcome.”

Alonso continues to be heavily linked with a move to Florentino Perez’s ambitious project at Madrid amid reports he has fallen out with Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez.

The latest I've heard is that Rafa is not willing to let Xabi go just yet because of a sell-on clause in his contract that supposedly runs out either this month or next month.

Sociedad asked for 25% sell on clause up until July-August 2009. That's a big chunk of the rumoured £35m.

oh come on... how is kaka's move to real madrid scandalous or controversial? His club wanted to sell him... he didn't mind going so don't really see a problem there... IMO he's still one of the best players in the world and better than ronaldo...

Even once we pass that cut off point if I was Rafa I would still ask for 35Mil. Xabi has 2 years to go and we don't have to sell for :censored:.

With alonso i think his relationship with rafa has been on a low since the barry episode and as for macha his agent is a fecking w@nker who is persuading macha go for a money deal...

If both go we fecked but if one goes than would'nt be as bad.
