If they offer 30 million and those two players I would snap their hands off.

With how fast they got Kaka and Ronaldo sorted I would imagine this deal will be done quick, assuming Rafa accepts it.

Totally agree. I have one question though, where the feck are Real Madrid getting all their money from?? Why are they not affected by the financial crises etc?

hmmm it is a alot, £30million plus negredo and bueno...

but...

We would need someone to replus Xabi. Someone to pull the strings in the centre of the park, dictate the tempo, and even with the influx of £30million, I can't think of anyone I'd replace Xabi with that would come to us. Barry's gone. Martinez says he doesn't want to come to england just yet. We've got no chance in getting Iniesta or Xavi.

So the question is:

If the offer is accepted: Who do we buy to replace him?

Just looked on youtube and before you say it, i know this is not the best way to make an assessment but Alvaro Negredo looks like a cracking player.  Very comfortable on the ball, good movement etc.  Would make an ideal backup to Torres...

The next transfer by Madrid is going to be Villa of Valencia (Negredo could be involved cause there is his old coach Unai Emery) and the next our Xabi, according to the reports here in Spain.

If Alonso goes we have to go 4-4-2 because we ain't going to find a player as good to replace him  :(

Is anyone else disappointed that neither Alonso or Masch have done a Torres and said publicly that they want to stay at Anfield?

What happens if Alonso doesnt repeat last seasons form this season and goes back to the xabi of 2/3 seasons ago, we'll be gutted we didnt take the 30mil + negredo etc.

I'm not sure on this really, if Real are going to bid silly money then maybe we should take it, we need money for some signings and negredo is a good player, we could also get a left winger

The only problem would be replacing xabi

Form is temporary , class is permanent . You don't lose that kind of ability overnight

:no He is never going to say that, he really wants to leave England and go back to Spain and join to the new fascinating project of Real Madrid with Kaká, Ronaldo, Villa ect..
He´s avoiding the questions about his possible singing for Madrid every time in South Africa , that´s another evidence.

Yep why would he come out when he wants go. He will probably be negotiating with them come start of next week. If they didnt have to sign Villa he would be a Madrid player by now.
