that sir, is a GOOD game.
for $6 you just picked up a game that is definitely a keeper. i could play that game for hours on end. and like in fallout 3, the karmic path you choose can lead to numerous possibilities. dependent on the outcome of your choices, you may be tempted to spin the disc again once you're done, just to see how it would look like from the other side.![]()
dont even get me started on the plasmids and the mini pipe dream puzzles.

When those things are stripped away from it, it's basically a linear generic FPS afair, and it certainly didn't reach the hype I'd heard and read about it. It was fairly overrated. Still a great game, though; but the likes of Half Life 2 absolutely put it to shame as a testiment to linear FPS game design, so as FPS's go, HL2 is still at the top of the bar, and if anyone has any doubts, check out it's Metacritic score. I just wish Valve hadn't went down the episodic road, which turned out to be a massive failure. HL3 should have been made by now FFS.

I only ever really played the demo versions of the Splinter Cells, but they always seemed like excellent games to me, and much better than the MGS serious. This new one does look amazing, though. Oh, and two player co-op goodness.
