hey guys, I've been learning to drive this summer and my theory test is on Wednesday. I've been using the DVLA website for practice. Does anyone know any other sites that have good tests on them?

Also are there any decent sites that allow practicing the hazard perception?

Only if ya pass mate...I failed mine twice,I was dead nervous cause I was only an apprentice and getting cr@p ££ and it cost me big bucks! Was like I really need to pass cause I cant afford to pay it all again so i was stressed out and made silly mistakes.
After the second time failing I said fu'ck this I'll do it again when i can afford it proper but the guy i was working for said he needed me to drive so he paid for it all...then I did'nt give a feck if i passed or failed! No nerves atal and sailed through it 3rd time!

Moral of the story..dont get nervous mate,it only fuc'ks you up!! :D

its funny you say that actually, everyone I've spoke to who needed to drive for future work said they never passed first time because of daft mistakes n all. I need to pass the full lot before the end of the month because thats when I go back to Uni.

I've grew up with everyone around me having a car so I haven't had too much trouble with the rules of the road and signs etc but some of the questions the theory test ask are ridiculous

Greavsie, best of luck with your test and assuming you pass (thats put the knockers on you...) remember - the first 12 months driving are the most dangerous because you have the power, speed and desire to go fast but you dont have the experience to get out of a situation. Be careful out there fella.

When i was doing mine all ya had to do was read a number plate from about 50 feet to ensure you were not blind, then ya drive for half an hour and they ask you to identify a few road signs!

Its fuc'kin mad now,all about ££
nothing short of forced capitalism! :D

good luck greavsie mate

best advice is just to try and stay calm, i passed first time and i just thought happy thoughts all the way round after all the bloke or lass taking the test doesn't know you and has nothing against you so they are just doing a job like everybody else

they don't think oh feck this one he / she isn't passing with me today

something else i would say is if you get the chance to choose a time get one early in the morning as it would mean you will not be thinking about it and getting yourself worked up,

also they only have a max time to do your test if you are stuck in traffic they will not make the test longer. they will make sure you get all the major thing done but less driving around means less stress for you

again good luck mate

The best thing to do on the day of your test is not to doubt what you know or what you are capable of. The worst thing, as has been mentioned, are the nerves. Keep them in check and you will sail through it. However, thats the hardest part. How I got through it was to concentrate solely on what my examiner asked. If he asked me to do a 3 point turn, I would park, check the mirrors and the like, and take in what I was taught and applied. One thing at a time. Dont look into your mind to the end of the test, just ride with the present. And do what is asked. Above all though, keep yourself calm and even if you do make a mistake, forget it immediately.

This is the best advice I can give. Dont go looking for other websites to ensure you know everything as already, you are just adding extra pressure to yourself. Remember these 2 points:

1: Keep Calm

2: Dont Panic

Then you will pass. And feel a massive relief afterwards !
