Partner for Torres, a holding midfielder (for when Mascarano gets injured/suspended), a right-back and with Hyypia gone, cover for Jamie and Skrtel (more so if there is any substance at all to the Agger leaving rumours).

I never thought of that before. Right, I shall think of one for the first time this season! Eureka!". I think so. What about you, no?

I didnt suggest for one minute that Rafa was clueless I was asking members of the forum what they think we need. Next time Ill write to Rafa instead. :)

Don't write to Rafa. Write to those two useless c*nts that own us. They are the ones with all the plans.

I heard him say that too on 5 Live.  :wwww

Bloody hell, its a good job he`s not in management. The fact is they dont move from their possitions, they dont come to win the game, thats the problem.
Dont judge a book by the cover, unless you cover just another, because blind exceptance is a sign,

well mancs have a plan b when they are losing. they thrown in 4 strikers, used to be cole, yorke, sherri, solskjaer. now it is bebva, diving expert, tevez, mr angry.
alan shearer have like maybe plan a,b,c,d,e for his newcastle in the same match, same match for crying out loud, but they still went down.
my point is, you got to have the depth to have alternative plans. we dont. unless our reserve kids grow up faster.
we just dont have the cash to buy ourselves into the history books just like fergie. our american owner dont cr@.p money every morning. :D

don't really have a single word for it (but "special subs" certainly isn't it  :D  ) but the concept is very familiar in American sports, where you may purposefully not play you best team per se, but try to play a specific style that is designed to attack the weakness of the other team. I guess the most common word for this would be "packages"  i.e "the big package" or the "speed package"

I think the equivalent would be making a double substitution, bringing on two players that make you change your whole philosophy and style
