Heimdall got a ban for posting a PM which is an offense in the forums based on personal experience. :D  to quote Peewee from the ''English legal system'' thread,
''the problem is when precedents have been set the court will normally follow them. you have laws and through the year judges have convicted or not convicted based on certain points, these then set precedents which the law generally follows, however a good enough argument could then set a new precedent if a judge was to find in your favour.

As an example a Barrister may argue that a chain of causation was broken at a certain point, if the judge agrees generally other judges will follow this allowing a Barrister in court to use it in future cases where he has the same situation, he will state the case and the judgement where the decision was made and the following judge normally follows it.''

LB got banned for endorsing donkey porn.

i've always rated Mila Kunis, Daws. she's my fave character from That 70s Show. and she also acted in Gia with Angelina Jolie. she is dating that Home Alone kid though and rumors are circulating of a wedding.
another pretty fine lady is Melissa George of The Amityville Horror, Grey's Anatomy and the more recent Turistas.

what can be said of pm's, they are not reliable!!

what i mean is, that if a pm is forwarded to a mod (for example), it can be re-written by the sender in such a manner, as to incriminate a person for saying something bad, even when they have not said anything bad at all !!

such as

original pm read  - i do not like your attitude on forum at all, please dont reply to me anymore!! :(

can be re-written to say - you sad fuck, get stuffed you lazy shell-suit wearing single mum, with saggy tits, no fuck off before i find out where you live and kill your whole family!!

Do you see what i mean - so beware the pm

however, those honest folk, and those who mean to do harm for real will always send the appropriate pms, albeit good for the honest bunch, and bad from the WUMs etc.

========================================

question : why has heimdall been banned? if it is him whos gone??

(disclaimer - this post is not in any reference to anyone here, but just an example)

Maguskwt, you're correct.

Man Utd got a fortuitous penalty decision from a mistake by the ref. That's it. They went on to score 4 more goals, because they were the better team in the second half. Simple as. Spurs fell apart. They couldn't hold on to a 2 nil lead.

I bet Ferguson gave Utd a bollocking at half time because they came out looking a different side from the first half, even IF the penalty was wrongly awarded.

Pissing and moaning about it won't do any good...and the people doing so would be better served by remembering that Liverpool got a goal from a free that never was yesterday too. That was instrumental in injecting some vitality in our game as well.

Nobody complaing about Referees then.

As for the "Seriously?" thread...that was a disgrace form beginning to end and nobody conducted themselves in a civil manner by an stretch of the imagination.

Considering the utter bile that was spewed by all concerned, it's amazing that only Ace, LegBarnes and heimdall were banned.

Another thing, as for Ace being on a wind up, as far as I recall, every time he posts something he's called a Utd supporter, or a bitter of some other idiotic and childish remark...

...and if that's not a "wind up", I don't know what is.

Disagree mate , the free kick on mascherano (if that's what your on about )was exactly that ,a free kick . Boateng booted him on the ankle .Admittedly he was on his way down as this happend  :D ,but he did boot him right infront of the ref .

Webbs decision was criminal ,, it was there for all to see ,Gomez got the ball first .

Posted with loads of bias i know , but it was an awful decision .

Magus, of course you can say your discontent and you have done it politely. I do defend the mods not because who they are, but because of what they do. Meaning, I defended Jonnymac or JBG when they were mods, I do the same with Woof and Red. Why? because I know the job they're doing and I think that people struggle to see the moderation from their point of view.

Anyhow, I understand your point of view, and I've said everything I had to say here.

To the best of my knowledge, nobody said they were.

Mick read your first post - you are talking about the fact three people from the anti rafa group got banned - but it had nothing to do with them being anti rafa so why mention it ?

Rather than me re-reading it, it might be better if you go re-read it GYBS. While you're doing that, I'll re-write it to make my point better.

As Andy said earlier, nobody it seemed to me covered themselves in glory in the whole exchange the other day. As is often the case lately, there was abuse, bile, this time threats of physical violence, not even implied in the "don't feck with me" sense but adresses being given out, challenges being offered and accepted. Much was made of a pm and how out of order it was, whereas some people didn't think it was in comparison to some recent abuse on the open forum etc etc etc etc. People were called WUM's, Mancs, not Liverpool fans, c...s, bullies, liars and all sorts. From my read on it, one side of the fence was dishing out significantly more abuse than the other but anyway it's not the point, good people didn't have their best day.

At the end of it all, a fella who posted that he didn't think the refereeing decisions had cost us the title, our inability to pick up enough points earlier in the season had, was banned. He was banned because he's not a real fan, is a WUM etc. There were posters openly calling for his ban mid exchange "ban this c... now" etc. Three other posters were banned, all from one side of the argument.

My point was in the original post that the rules are applied differently depending on who is breaking them, which is natural in some respects. If you were in your local and you spent bundles in there, you wouldn't expect to be barred if you got slightly out of order one night. Go into town and behave like a d!ckhead when you've never shown your face in a gaff before and it might be different. That's all good. Some leniency is shown (and rightly so) towards some long standing members who cross the line on occasions. All good so far, and I've got no problem with any of that. Other posters however aren't shown the same leniency, which is where it becomes unfair IMHO. Had Peewee, or Bam, or Stu the Red or young Bill carried on like that, they'd have been banned in the blink of an eye. Heimdall takes absolute dogs abuse and gets banned for it for instance, while the fella who caused the initial situation who is also a long time Rafa sceptic, is banned also.

So in my eyes, yes it does have an impact (which side of certain fences you sit on) on the way rules are interpreted. I don't think FWIW that it is deliberate on the part of the mods, but I do think that anyone who looked at exchanges over the last few months would find it difficult to come to a different conclusion.

It's not often these days I agree with Magnus, but he is on the money here.
