im a scouser for what its worth and i bet there are alot more here aswell.

as for the atmosphere at games its to easy to just point the blame at people from outside the city, i know people who love this club to the bones who are not scouse

all seater stadiums, the sky generation, young people priced out of the game and far more families go now and take the kids, etc

oh and come back mick before this totally goes off track :D

Look daws Im not getting into an argument with you or anyone else before world war 3 breaks out. People from Liverpool have more passion for the club you have even said so yourself in the past.

I can't speak from personal experience about Scousers and Liverpool itself. But I dare say that years ago, your point would have carried considerable weight to it. I know that football is a way of life in Liverpool. In places where I live (Ireland) people just seem to pick a side and that's that. In Liverpool you were born and bred into it. Though I will say this: in my family, everyone supports Liverpool. My brothers and sisters kids are all brought up to support the Reds and there wouldn't be any other way about it, so it's sort of a similar thing to Liverpool itself, the only difference would be that the rivalry between Everton is not as big, though those of us who are old enough have grown to understand it at least, whereas a Scouser it's bred into them and as such the passion is more intense regarding that. It's just like Celtic and Rangers fans here. Same thing, only for obviously more sinister reasons. However, as for passion, I'm not sure if your argument there has any real truth to it these days. I know some real hardcore Liverpool supporters here, and I really can't see how they could get any more die hard. Unfortunately the younger generation growing up today supporting this club only know football in this era of the megastar; over-paid and over-pampered. If there have been players playing in a red shirt that are showing sever lack of passion for the club in recent years, then surely that will transmit down to the support as well. I don't know. I'm probably talking a lot of oul shyte, and I'm tired. I don't want to write an essay on it.

Pah.

Here we are saying why the forum is going to the W.C.

Some will say it's the OOTERS. I'm surprised nobody has said it's BabBob fault, it's quite a classic. Some others will be saying it's the negativity, and the best of all, Peewee, with the "Mick is like me" super line. That was a great one. :D

The point is that most of us are perfectly able to tell others what they do wrong, but unless we start doing some self criticism and start posting quality stuff ourselves this will continue going down.

It's not a disaster, mind you, it happens everywhere. When a core of regular posters dissapear, others simply come and become regulars. The forum will continue unless the admin decides stopping paying the bills (and who could blame him when he doesn't win money with this?)

So not that is happenng something rare, these things happen, these cycles in forums happen. But if what  we want are the old days back we should stop pointing out others with the finger and start doing self criticism. We're all guilty. :D

I can see where Cigs is coming from.....

but like Dawson and Emerald have said, these days it doesn't matter where you come from to have a passion for the club.

There is just something very very special about LFC...a passion shared by all lfc supporters....it gets into your blood, right into your heart....hard to explain to other supporters...

And, yeah, I too have stick for not supporting a 'local' team....

another tedious accusation from the brainless one, I had to run away did I barry? so astound us all and tell us why I had to run away. I suppose mick had to run to new zealand and ciggy to holland. or on the other hand maybe they moved for a better quality of life, just like me funnily enough.

but hey if it makes you feel better in your squalor in belfast thinking I had to run away then feel free, i won't lose any sleep over it

For someone who doesnt live far from anfield i have never known you go to a game in all your time on here, in fact i would imagine i have been to more from 7000 miles away.

stick to getting drunk and abusing strangers on a forum, about your level really
