Yeah we definitely looked happier on Wednesday didn't we! Feck me, that ranks as the most stupid posts in a while.

I've had a bit of time to reflect and whilst I'm delighted we got the win, the manner in which we did it, apart form the hard work which was very pleasing, was not that great. We huffed and puffed against a very very average side, gave the ball away an insane number of times and again looked devoid of ideas until Xabi, Dirk and Fernando entered the fray. If David James had not been unusually dodgy yesterday we would have been in the sh1t, then again Reina had a stinker as well.

As for Rafa makes the best subs in the premiership, what on earth is that based on, is that based on him taking off Torres, Gerrard and Benayoun the other match, is that based on the fact that he never ever makes a sub before the 60th minute. Come on I realise we are all happy with the win but lets have a bit of perspective and if some of you see potential in N'Gog based on the match yesterday then you must have been watching the wrong player. N'Gog was fecking useless and didn't once look convincing, neither did Babel for that matter, they both need to go imo.

All I'm saying is the win was very much needed and I'm delighted with it but lets not get too carried away with scraping a win against a team which is sure to get relegated this season and with possibly the most inept manager in the league. :no

To win this league we are going to need every single player we have at our disposal. I feel that the fringe players are going to be bouyed by that feeling of winning, especially the likes odf benayoun and aurelio who seemed to have beleif in their own game. Yes one could argue that they may feel "we needed torres, xabi to win". But watching their reaction when we scored. How when we equalised guys ran to grab the ball and go for it. I think rafa's gamble as crazy as it may have been, will have positive repurcussions on the entire squad. Possibly guys will be ready to raise their hands up and not look to stevie, xabi, torres etc to win games.

PS congrats have to go to Ayrelio who looked really good yesterday.

Strangest thing on this forum is that we've spent the vast majority of this season at or near the top of whats sposed to be the best league in the world yet spent EVERY DAY discussin who should replace Rafa and Kuyt! I dont waste my time on browsin thru the scums forums but I'd hazard a guess there's no posts discussin removin whiskey nose or berbatov (who had just as much luck in front of goal as a certain Irishman for a while...), let alone how much money the damn clubs spent in the last 5 years.

Come on people, it can't be all bad can it? I aint got the rose tinted specs on, I know we have issues - but for fux sake we're top of the pile, be it by luck or judgement. What happened to "you make your own luck...." ? Stats prove fu.ck all cept some tw@s got nowt to do but add up touches of the ball. Appearances/minutes on the pitch/bad passes/bad hairdays may contribute to a bigger picture I agree, but rite now that bigger picture looks surprisingly healthy for one of the few times in almost twenty years. Try enjoyin it.
Stu Averill, a wannabe Scouse/Scot. I remember the good times & have faith in them comin back

Beside the Hillsborough Flame, I heard a Koppite mournin, "Why so many taken on that day?" Justice has never been done. But their memory we'll carry on. There'll be Glory Round The Fields Of Anfield Road

Sorry mate..... but that's a :censored: poor post.

No cause to call someone stupid. I did think we got lucky and was baffled by the team Rafa put out but at this stage..... so fecking what?!..... We won a game and are hot on the heels of those b@stard mancs and we did it without our captain. I'll take luck anytime. It's been awhile since we've been in this position and every week we keep up and distance ourselves from the chasing pack, is a GOOD week. We are sustaining a challenge for the 1st time in 5 years, FCS! Yes, we have squandered opportunities but this is the best position we've been in in the last god only knows how many years.

I'm not Rafa's biggest fans but now's not the time.... wait till the season ends.

Just got to say im still a happy clappy

Yesterdays game was one of the reasonsi love this club so much. I was baffeld by the team that got put out but got behind them as you do like when your a Liverpool supporter, An i trusted the manager for putting that team out,

I Nearly ended up in casualty in the last half an hour i thought i was gonna have a heart attack me chest was pounding so much just like loads of others at the game, but thats why we love this team because they give you moments like this, I knew in my heart that if we didnt win it could of been all over , but how we willed them on an how they fought back. it was :censored: brilliant.

Im not a Benayoun fan but this last few games he is slowley bringing me round , He was great yesterday, Found space ,made runs an wanted to have a go, well played Yossi.

Aurelio stood up to the plate in his new midfield role, :censored: me i never new he was a midfielder but some lad said yesterday hes played there before, good option to have.

Kuyt was magnificent when he came on an no imo he was not off side. Xabi was Xabi outstanding enough said really.

Ive got to give a mention here to Agger here he was :censored: tremendos an my man of the match, If we dont sort this contract thing out with him soon we are gonna lose a gem. He was classy an mean yesterday. An Parry should be nicked if he doest sort it as soon as.

Torres nothing to say about him really he said it himself. :censored: off Nugent you bitter gobs.*i*e

This is for the pair of prats who where behind me you are a :censored: disgrace with your bimbo blonde on your mobile for the whole of the second half.

Taking pics of Nugent an laughing an the leaving 15 minutes before the end well im :censored: made up you missed what we saw , go an support someone else.
HE WHO BETRAYS WILL ALWAYS WALK ALONE

Although David Ngog hasn't done much yet - he's only 19 and hasn't played many first team games - surely it's too early to be thinking about moving him on?

I dunno, you post some stupid posts yourself so if YOU disagree with it odds are it is not that stupid and I take your words as a compliment.

The win was scrappy but a month ago we would not have won. Against Chelsea the same was said but still we won. Since Keane has gone I see a better team spirit than his last few matches for the Reds (you know the ones he never played in). As I said, maybe he was causing disunity in the dressing room. Two prem matches since Keane left, two wins. Simple enough?

Erm, I'd be worried if we made changes before minute 60 regularly.

The Setanta commentators were sighing, and laughing at Benitez's subs. It seems that in that hole from where they bark they don't know the concept of "ripening" a game and what are the crucial moments of a game to enter a sub.

Perhaps that's why they'll keep making stupid comments in the tv with a low salary instead of getting a millionaire contract as managers.

It seems to me that some pundits have a chip on the shoulder with foreign managers managing their countries' best clubs. They'll always see the likes of Rafa and Wenger as invaders that are stealing their jobs, so the Scot will be always be an oasis for their fúckwittery.

They'd better stop moaning and updating their football knowledge to this century.

Come on I realise we are all happy with the win but lets have a bit of perspective and if some of you see potential in N'Gog based on the match yesterday then you must have been watching the wrong player. N'Gog was fecking useless and didn't once look convincing,

Ngog's game wasn't anything brilliant, but neither was poor as fúck. He did his job of wearing the opposition so that the subs made the difference. The subs weren't for playing 90 minutes.

In fact, Del Bosque and Rafa just had a chat about it. Rafa has told Del Bosque that our five interntionals have physical problems, according to MARCA newspaper, and I don't have reasons to doubt this info this time, Rafa told Del Bosque that

* Alonso is playing with pain in the foot
* Riera is knackered and paying the effort of too many games
* Reina have muscular problems
* Torres is far from being fit for 90 minutes
* Arbeloa has a problem in his knee.

Del Bosque apparently has understood the reasons of Rafa, and while defending his interests, he has requested to the FA that the friendly may have 5 subs instead of 3, so that some players play less minutes. Del Bosque says he won't force any player.

Hope that's true.

neither did Babel for that matter, they both need to go imo.

I didn't like the game of Babel neither Heimdall.

But, why do you comment only the negative. Why don't you comment the yet another good game of Benayoun. The good game of Aurelio. The class goal of Torres. The will to win the team showed.

Isn't that part of the reality? if it is, why do you ignore it if you say you're not biased?
