What, is it no fun being reminded of the one thing where you concede rafa made a mistake?

It should be mentioned in every single thread becuase it was the most idiotic decision Rafa has ever made, and he's made quite a few.

Someone said earlier (CGGY I think) that he had a scan on his foot.

There is no way he would have played on with an injury, a knock maybe but not with any pulls, strains or brakes, no way, not a chance. He had no problem moving/running that I could see he just looked shattered to me.
If it turns out to be true that he played on with a potential serious injury I`ll be gobsmacked.

I thought it was 3 weeks? Anyway back to Torres it seems he was not carrying an injury after all....

Rafa douses Torres injury fears

Rafa Benitez has dispelled fears that Fernando Torres was injured during Wednesday’s FA Cup exit to Everton.

Torres was withdrawn during extra time as Liverpool threw on Ryan Babel in an attempt to freshen up their striking options.

The live match coverage persistently claimed Torres was injured, yet the Spaniard was merely suffering from exhaustion due to his new training regime.

The Reds have put Torres on an intense strength-training programme to improve his hamstrings, meaning his physical levels have dropped in the short term.

"Torres was really tired and that's why I took him off,” Benitez confirmed after the match.

"He needs to keep playing games and keep training because his match fitness is not the best but that will come."

Great that his not injured.. I had a feeling anyway that he was exhausted.. Dont think he will lose pace.. Once he gets fully fit i think we will see the old torres.. He did seem very ragged during the match though. Was given a tough time from the everton defence. Never really saw him go past them. That bitter jagielka did a good job marking torres.

I'm not too sure about the fixture list , read somewhere than we had 5 games in 3 weeks or so ? Anyways i think he's just out for a week , rafa does not want him to play for england
