we were all screaming for him to be taken off after 70 minutes.

everyone on here could see he wasn't right, but rafa kept him on for over 100 minutes... i said in the match thread there was a huge risk in him aggrivating something.

quite why he was left on for so long now that keane has gone I dont know.

Thought something wasnt right last night.

Is that supposedly from the Lescott challenge in the first 10 minutes ?

If it is and he was kept on thats just plain stupid, he could hardly move all night.

Lescott's tackle in the first ten minutes done the damage.

if that's right then why was he on the field for so long - surely thats just making it worse ???

If this injury is serious we are going to be fucked for the rest of the season big time.

Any sources, Ciggy, I've not seen anything in the usual places?

It was his own bad touch that caused this. Had he controlled it properly he would have gone past Lescott like a shot, scored a wonder goal, we would have been 1-0 up, Gerrard's hamstring would have been fine as he'd have been sufficiently warm after running after Torres to celebrate, they'd both be taken off (rested) after an hour with us 3-0 up and we'd be sitting here today happy as larry. :D

But we're not and you can only laugh about it. Someone upstairs isn't looking upon us favourably at the moment. Selling Keane with no one coming this way in the deal and then potentially losing our 2 best players through injury for a few weeks (maybe more) is an absolute DISASTER! It's time to call in the young boys that we rave about.

Pachecho, Nemeth and Spearing should be in for Saturday!!

Im surprised he didn't say anything to Rafa even at half time or at 90 mins. If he is injured though then we are in hot water big time. It was a huge risk by Rafa to sell Keane and it's already biting him in the butt with Gerrard and now this. I hope this isnt true.

He didn't look right at all last night. I'm surprised he stayed on for as long as he did.

Dont worry we still have Babel able to fill that role. Ok they are all :censored: compared to Torres but most strikers are. It cant be anything too serious as he didn't signal to come off at all so perhaps he just needs rest. Hopefully missing the Portsmouth/England games should be enough. I just hope he is ready and fit for when we go to Old Trafford.
