EVERTON VS LIVERPOOL - F.a cup replay

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

We can't expect more once after the sent off. I'm upset about the loss but it is not unexpected. Just hope people will lay off Alonso as he played his heart out. Without Gerrard, Alonso got less space to work with. Lucas is to blame with his two stupid yellow. Both times can be avoided. The tough part is if we gonna lose, we might as well lose early and no need to waste the energy....

Liverpool were bloody awful tonight. Another "challenge" at silverware gone. Only two more to go.

Liverpool are going to win fuck all with the formation we employ, the lack of finish, giving cheap balls away, the negative attitude to the attacking game in general.

Benitez's stamp on this club is far too conservative for us to be true champions.

...and Lucas.....ha hahahahahahaha.............I never want to see that fool in a red shirt again.

No complaints about the result. The better team won...end of.

I thought there were some positives. Kuyt was great. Babel looked better than he has for months, and Dossena was pretty good.

It was the players that ussually play well for us that let us down a bit but they will come good.

Ok so they proved they can beat 10 men after 120 mins with all our best players injured, great win for them and I look forward to the DVD

Time to focus on the league lads!  :buttrock

Spot on.

We've got bigger fish to fry.

My only criticism of Rafa tonight was yet again playing Lucas. I honestly don't get what he sees in him. For the very small plus points he has, the almost inevitable fook up he makes costing us games make his worth nil.

Lucas unlucky? No brains. He´s a complete disaster.

Lucas was unlucky. His first yellow was for a challenge far softer than Lescott hacking Babel, Osman scything down Dossena in the first few mins etc

Obviously Moyes' comments about refs being lenient on us got to Wiley

Any decent player with brains, NEVER would have fouled in the way he did the second yellow card.

It´s like make a silly penalty in the 85 minute of a game that you are winning (Wigan away). No brains.

I'm not saying I liked having Keane but surely it don't make sense to get shot of him half way through a season without bringing anyone in? ???

I dont love rafa but wtf did he do?

Fecked up, Did you see how how knackered and dis interested
Torres looked, and what the feck does Babel have to do to get a game tone down a couple shades and grow ginger feckin hair.

Stupid just fecked off right now.

Rafa looked as sick as a dog at the final whistle, he may live
to regret what not choosing his words more carefully.

I just hope now that Capello doesnt throw a power trip if Rafa request to pull Stevie from the England squad. Torres could use with not playing in that game also.

This game was ugly, the sad thing is we were given questionable yellows due to the fact that Everton were fouling us all over the pitch.  The ref had to start handing them out after a while and we were given a couple at least that maybe would not have been given had Everton not been dickin around and fouling us all the damn time.

To be fair to Lucas he is better than this and he won't be fouling like a plonker his entire career.  He can actually turn out to be a pretty good midfielder but his growing pains are tough to watch and to ignore them is difficult for anyone.  Hyypia would have given us a goal imo, lots of corners and no one to attack them.  That is a big hole we need to fix, Skrtel has to learn how to be effective on corners its the worst part about his game.
